The majority of homelessness is caused by metal issues and or substance abuse. Until you fix that problem just finding affordable housing will not solve the issue.

People on disability are given far less then minimum wage to live on and are expected to b able to pay rent, bills and meet basic needs... impossible. Housing made available for elderly on SSI is readily available. Under 55 not so much. I promise u if they gave a living monthly disability amount or gave affordable housing to people on disability. Most those people would NOT be homeless

Always will see an older women saying how scared shw is. Doesn't know who they are. Well someone needs to tell her there are thousands people moving in, and she will never know them.

And some of them are just plain lazy and don't want to work or do anything to help their situation. They want everything given to them.

I'm homeless because I'm newly disabled and can't find ANYWHERE affordable to live. Housing has gone up $100 to $600. Investors come in believing they are restoring poor neighborhoods when in reality after remodeling raise rents. Making it impossible for lower income people to afford. Section 8 or income based rent has a 3 to 5 year waiting list. I don't drink or do drugs...HOUSING is a HUGE issue. Don't pretend to know something you can't possibly understand.
