Klaatu 6aq5 tube 2 watt amp

Demo of my newest class A guitar amp. This one is built in a 50's Standard TV booster cabinet. Theme: The day the Earth stood still. This is a cool little amp. Plenty of gain/crunch when desired.

Sounds great! What size power transformer did you use? I have a couple 6AQ5s and I really want to build something with low power and good breakup.

Great job D … ! Wish I could put my Strat through that thang . It’s cooooell ! Do you sell these ? I’m a tech ham and am really enjoying the hobby . I’ve been playing guitar (semi-pro) since I was 17 . Originally I was born a singer so I chose Guitar as my instrument to back it . I’m now 64 and have shared the stage with people like Matt “Guitar” Murphy and the Rock Band “Live” before they changed their name . lol So in 2019 I officially became a ham as I’ve always been into Shortwave listening , CB’s and Scanners as well . I wish I could learn how to build one myself or pick up a Boutique amp like your making . They have become very expensive to buy . I love your ideas on repurposing old radios . It’s really freaking cool man . I’m so glad I found this channel and I really hope to Heavens Betsy we could share a couple bottles of wine someday . I like the wines from Seneca Lake area in Upstate New York . Red Wine has always been my choice . Anyhow I rattled off enough for now with this text so I’ll stop by time to time .
