Great tutorial mate. I just ordered one in light blue colour for may dad. I hope that colour will help him find it easier if it is in a backpack. I was going to try to put a lanyard round the clip so he can wear it round the neck as a kind of no hands worklight too. Great video, greetings from Sweden.

I'd argue it starts at 1:01 when the details about what's included in the box and the size of the light starts. The UI and light options do start at 6:38 🤙

When turning on, just press from both sides, doesn't matter which is the button or port lol! Not my type of light but it's interesting!

That's a fair comment, truth is everything in and out of work has been very busy recently. Hopefully I'll get to that in August 🤙

Appreciate the review, but I fear the pulsating nature of the illumination provided by the Klaus E5 EDC flashlight would give me a headache. This one is just not for me. Sorry about that!

I will admit the flicker is weird on camera. It's definitely not evident when you're using it

I just got it in based on your review. I have other flat lights that are a bit quirky. I use it in bags to light up the contents on flights and in the car. The strobe mode is annoying. On/Off high and low is all I would need.

Oh my days it's interface is worse than Anduril os on my Sofirn sc1! As for the blinky red and blue I wouldn't stick that on my car even if I was broken down, a good friend bought a Temu special knock off of a well known keyring torch that had the blue and red flash pattern and when he was using a tyre inflator at the side of road he stuck the torch to the boot lid, like moths to a lamp within minutes it attracted a traffic car from the local constabulary. They said that you're not allowed to display a Blue flashing light (obviously) from a vehicle unless it's an Emergency Service claiming an exemption or warning other traffic. (Impersonation of a police officer/vehicle was mentioned) the copper was ok about it and said they saw the blue/red light from half a mile away and though it was a colleague they would back up. Just have a red static or flashing on these torches it would be more useful. The boys in blue did put their official blinky lights on while my mate pumped his tyre back up so not all bad lol!! 👍

😂 Definitely not as complicated as the Andruil for sure. It's a reasonably simple UI but I agree it's definitely not the best to showcase the light. Most of us will choose a setting and keep it on that setting. I definitely need to find out what the official line is with the red/blue setting here in the UK. I know a lot of countries around the world it's safe to use. I have a few friends who are officers and their explanation differs e.g. if you're broken down they don't mind the red/blue, however if you're driving behind somebody and use the red/blue then that is deemed as impersonating an officer. If it came down to it and you're car dies and there's no lights any light to warm other cars is good. I'll have a proper look to see what the official line is here in the UK (and if it differs between England, Wales, Scotland and NI)

@@MoorlanderEDC Yeah I agree if it’s a case of being on an unlit rd and there’s a chance of being hit and it’s all I had I’d probably use it. He did check with the RPU after his encounter and they did say you are not allowed to display any colour light to the rear other than red, amber and white while reversing, rear red flashing lights are also technically not allowed from the rear other than emergency braking indication on newer cars. An orange flashing light can be used but can only be permanently installed on certain type specific vehicles, slow moving, vehicles causing an obstruction, towing or escort vehicles and those that may work airside. He did a bit of a deep dive into the lighting regs of vehicles. I think it’s down to the common sense of the police officer and if you pass the attitude test. I’ve driven Ambulances and there are different sequences of the lights that are displayed while running and what are switched when on scene, such as wig wags, headlight flashers, junction clearing lights and rear reds. The lights change from 999 mode and on scene mode. The copper was quite impressed by the Rovyvon clone’s output! (Technically cyclists shouldn’t display red flashing lights apparently but no one enforces it as getting a cyclist to display any bloody light is a win lol)

@@JohnHi6 Love the 'Attitude Test'. I've always said since day 1, be polite to the police, don't have an attitude and always be respectful even if you're 100% right. You'll talk to real people who want to help and will be more than happy to see your point of view. Act like a d*ck and you'll get treated like a d*ck. I'm totally adopting the 'attitude test' as a phrase 😄

@@MoorlanderEDCI’ve worked for the NHS in A&E and a trauma ward too. And you’d be surprised how many fail the attitude test when people want something. A police officer friend once told me you can talk your way into handcuffs but you can’t talk your way out of them. If people are ok with me I’m ok with them. My motto - Take no Sh1t but do no harm.

@@JohnHi6 Totally get that. Mrs Moorlander is a phlebotomist in the NHS. So many people come in with attitude if they're running behind or X,Y & Z... "Hello, you're giving me grief knowing full well I'm about to stab you... oh sorry, I nicked your bone there. Too deep"... her words not mine

I watched this video and had to find out, it's hard to tell something too good about that flash light. Moorlander tried his best, to let it look like a decent flash light, but sorry, it isn't convincing.

Thanks for the review of this light. Although I agree with the current trend of making flat style lights, this model does fit the mould. However, the switching configuration left me confused. 😟 Being an older person I can say that this light would frustrate me to no end. I've only two genuine EDC lights. A RovyVon E7 Angel Eyes I carry always. And a fantastic Olight Baton 3 pro Max that is my number one go to light for everything around the house. (Thanks again mate!) Both are easily understood in operation by this old man. Reckon its best to keep it simple. 😏

I have had 0 luck with this companies products. Xt1c was in my pocket when I was wading in water.... bricked. Warranty replacement didn't last 10 seconds in a glass of water. Decided to test all my other flashlights after that mostly Fenix, nitecore, an ace beam... they survived. Never going to buy, use or recommend this brand! Too bad because I liked the dual tail switch and the programmable ui.
