I was at clubs where he was many times and even saw him perform once. I think I remember him and Joey Arias working at Fiaruccis (is that how you spell it) which was a store uptown that had hip clothes. He was such a personage on the nightclub scene. I was watching the Saturday Night Live when he and Joey sang backup for David Bowie. I jumped up from my chair and said, "Oh my God, Klaus is on TV." I will never forget him.

Fiorucci. He would sometimes sing there. I used to buy my journals at Fiorucci on the Kings rd, so when I dropped out of School I ended up in NYC, at the Y in Chelsea, in a shared dorm, and I would go to the Gap and the to Fiouucci to buy my new journal (90 cents), and there he was. Full of joy.

@@semsemeini7905 Some people would have like to have tasted his pies, lol. 😂😆😅🤪 Of course that didn't end well for them at that time (no offense!) so...yeah! Not that they were bad other containing the VIRUS and who knows whatever else? But it sounds like he made them with love which is unfortunate because I bet they were good otherwise. 🙂 And it is sad the world could not have experienced them under better circumstances for sure, huh? 😏😥

Lucky! I adore Klaus, I have since I first saw him in 1979. I also got dragged past that store by my dad's wife, it was torture not being allowed to even approach the window. (I'll try to spell it lol-Fiorucci's-did I get it)?

It’s 2019. We have completely gone backwards. The 60s, 70s and 80s were far more progressive and interesting than today. I hate to say it. And it breaks my heart. But it’s very true.

Yes, do you have some question about that? 1984 was a 1948 novel by George Orwell and was considered by most to be a warning about life in the future. Now it's considered an instruction manual by some.

The footage belongs to 1981, but one could see some early AIDS-related features on him, like facial emaciation. One must remember there was not any medication available for AIDS until AZT was released in 1986/1987. Sadly, Klaus Nomi passed away only two years after, in 1983.
