Part2- Klaus Nomi singing "wasting my time" woman: I was surprised, but in a good way! man: very very surprised yes, but... awesome woman: that's unreal, wonderful. kid: Me I thought it was super good man:Demential Klaus Nomi singing "wasting my time" Nomi talking: I think opera music is very conservative, and Rock and Roll music is conservative as well. And that's why I'm trying to make a bridge between these two elements
Part3- Journalist: Elvis Presley.. Nomi: He 's my spiritual father, and as you may know Maria Callas is my spiritual mother. Nomi again: I'm singing in an operatic voice for the public , to bring something more to Rock n' Roll. Because in a Rock and Roll performance, the singer talks to the public whereas in Opera the singer only talks to a character, inside a story. The public sees this as a picture, I want to transport this picture into the room where the public is.
Part4- Klaus Nomi singing Journalist:Klaus Nomi, if you had a single word to define your music, what would it be? Nomi:"L-O-V-E, because it's a gift, and you only give something when you feel it deeply Journalist:blablabla, Klaus Nomi tomorrow at night.

I'm friends with Joey Arias who became Klaus' executor after he passed and he says Klaus was such a sweet man and very quiet and rather shy. But he was a baker by trade before his showbusiness career and would always bake for everyone. If you're not familiar with Joey either PLEASE look him up. I promise you won't. Be disappointed. Joey is pure magic.

@@carlyg1969 I think Mr. Nomi didn´t really like to give interviews.. :) Maybe his idea was that you can hear his voice every time you listen to his songs anyway. Yet, there is another short interview on youtube he gave obviously in France, just type "Klaus Nomi Interview" (English translation underneath as well). Type "Paul Tschinkel´s InnerTube Klaus Nomi" and you can hear Klaus´ original speaking voice, in good quality and without any simultanous translation. I´m German speaking, so sorry for my imperfect English and greets from Austria. :)

Thank you for the reply And for English not being your first language you english is great So don’t worry about it I go the impression he didn’t like doing interviews he seems kind , caring, quirky , introverted and shy in nature He never looks at the interviewer or the camera at least not for long and does quick glimpses at it I understand I would be the same way I wouldn’t like it either , I know he does one in German a really long one but I don’t speak or understand German wish I did I can always learn it’s never to late :) Greetings from Australia
