@@iviyohane A theory I have regarding the final cutscene is that the world splitting but then suddenly merging into one isn't showing us Noah and co. defeating Moebius, but rather showing us time moving backwards to foreshadow the next Xenoblade games being massive prequels. Though given Xenosaga fans saying it's likely KOS-MOS coming back to Earth and plus giving us stories set in Klaus' original would still technically be continuing the Klaus Saga, not ending it, the theory seems unlikely, but would be cool if that was case! Or the next game could show us how the worlds managed to merge together because it'd be odd not to seeing how the final cutscene would blatantly contradict XC3's lore.

Presumably, because of the recurring McMuffin in Xenogears and Xenoblade 1, every game, including the Xenosaga trilogy collectively, occurs in their own parallel universe. Considering the Earth was destroyed like four, five different ways, that may be the most plausible. In that vein, the preceding theory may be more tangible if a future Xeno installment included holes in infinity to allow for crossover bullshit, which fans would considerably appreciate as evident by the positive reception from the cameos of KOS-MOS, Shulk, Elma, and Rex in Xenoblade 2 and/or Future Redeemed.

So somebody on Reddit modded Xenoblade 3 with a camera to get out of the map and they viewed Klaus’s world and surprisingly it is rendered and finished when looking at the backgrounds. That’s a lot of work for 5 mins of screentime so I really do think it will be reused in Xenoblade 4. During that video zoomed out it looks entirely like Fifth Jerusalem in Xenosaga which seems very intentional. Just wanted to mention that and thought it was really cool.

Then Dimitri Yuriev would have to be more than nearly 5,000 years old, and was in hiding from public view before the events of Xenosaga episode 1. Thus he would be far older than a mere few centuries like he said. Although, if the Zohar (the Conduit) existed in Alrest, could it had been merely been a fragment of it in spiritual form, while the physical form still existed in Xenosaga, and thus its disappearance in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was actually to reunite with its physical counterpart at the end of Xenosaga episode 3. Also, Albedo specifically said he would send him to another dimension, thus he (and possibly Negredo/Gaignun) are alive in some form or another and may appear in a sequel game as its rightful main antagonist. And with Lost/New Jerusalem (Earth) reborn at the end of Future Redeemed, Dimitri may yet attempt to seek the Zohar once again for his selfish ambition.

My thinking is that X is an alternate Universe where Klaus' experiment didn't happen, and that Telethia the Endbringer is just a Telethia from Shulk's world which made its way via a rift in Future Connected. The dates of Project Exodus in the radio don't match up with the dates given by XCX, and the war ongoing while the experiment was happening wasn't the war between alien factions and humanity. It was a war between the Salvator rebels and the beanstalk, with Dmitri wanting to take the Conduit so that he can become God.

Forgot to mention they have to play/watch X now too. Project Exodus, and the same day in July that it happened is directly mentioned. The shooting star in the background could also be the white whale still traveling through space to find a habitable planet. We really don't know when X takes place but we do know its canon to the mainline story in some way now just like Xenosaga took place before blade which should have been obvious after playing XC1 and seeing the klaus experiment as well as the conduit/xohar.

Also there is a chance some things get retconned like how de retconned some stuff with 1 to adhere to this massive timeline takahashi is seemingly planning. Its hard to tell how this will play out but the one thing to take away is Xenosaga and Xenoblade X are now cannon to the mainline series somehow and that gives hope for X's story to be continued now. Also aside from some like lao and Cross who gets amnesia a lot of the people on the whitewhale were put in stasis iirc. I need to replay X again now though to remember its story better while i huff hopium for X2 to happen in the future.

Xenogears and Xenosaga used the concept of "eternal recurrence" very often. They can use the same concept to explain why the same events happened again with some differences. In Xenosaga, Grimoire Verum "destroyed" the Earth. In Xenoblade it was Klaus. With Vector Industries truly existing in Klaus' era, now we know KOS-MOS (and, by extension, T-elos) in XB2 was not a mere cameo and she was part of an important project, as her Heart-to-Heart reveals she knows everything from the Low Orbit Stations, although she doesn't know why. Dimitri Yuriev's backstory in XB3 is similar to his Saga's counterpart, but now in this game he was the councilperson of the Minos authority.

I don't think so. X's Earth was destroyed by aliens. This is Klaus' Earth (the same one from the Blade trilogy, Saga and Gears) that was destroyed by humans themselves as they went to war over governance of the Zohar. There is a discrepancy with X and literally everything else, maybe it takes place on a parallel dimension of Earth?
