Klay Thompson is now on the Dallas Mavericks, and the Warriors dynasty is officially over. Klay however still doesn't seem to fully grasp that he isn't what he used to be and when the Warriors organization tries to tell him this by what they offered he felt "disrespected" and said they should "do right by him" as if they hadn't already done that for multiple years through his injuries and poor play. The Mavericks might have one of the greatest shooters to join their squad, but he isn't himself and hasn't been for years.

Since the obligatory and soft brained "hate" claims are being used in abundance, let me remind the masses that the Warriors paid Klay $43 million while he was injured and then offered him $48 million for 2 years after. Yet he feels they still need to "do right by him" and feels "disrespected" and "slighted". The organization doesn't owe him anything, and he doesn't owe them anything in return, but this behavior is to me delusional and out of touch with reality as many NBA players seem to be more and more this day and age. I don't spare criticism of anyone, including myself. Except Doja Cat......she's orgasmic perfection. Pause not given.

Your opinion is subjective and not based on anything tangible. You're belittling his feelings but in the end of the day it's his relationship with the warriors and the communication between them (which is private and unknown to you) that matters, the only soft brain here is yours. They failed him there and now he moved on. There is no delusion there and he will show you what he can still do next year, fueled by his will to prove the warriors wrong. Never too late to get off the hate train bud.

The saddest part of his last Warriors game was seeing him throw up his 4 fingers from the bench, after previously admitting it was a childish thing he did because he was insecure when he did it after getting torched in Phoenix. He was basically telling us how insecure he was by doing it again. He wasn’t saying, “I won four rings,” he was saying, “I’m sad right now, guys.” Poor dude.

I think you are missing the point just as much as the creator of this video. Kley was punching above his waigt class all these years with worriors while being underpaid. One year when he couldn't ... everyone there has turned on him. He is wounded but his not out yet. Klay could become Kyrie 2.0 for Mavs. If you want to see what Klay can still do, watch next game against the Worriors. It will be payback time for him ....

Kyrie has done a lot for Luka's mindset so anything is possible but I fear Klay's personality will be like oil and water.

Your assessment here is SPOT ON. It was his attitude since he came back from the devastating injuries that he never shook off. He came back a grumpy old man, never updated his swag, his attitude, on and on. He was resentful as hell - at Life, for not making the TOP 75, and mostly at himself I suppose. He was stubborn as hell insisting that no adjustments necessary to his game or place on the team, etc. HE WAS A NEGATIVE PISSED OFF VIBE THOSE LAST TWO YEARS. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, THIS IS HIS JOURNEY TO GROW ( AND GROW UP) AS A MAN. He really lived pretty entitled with his family, etc. GOOD MAN BUT TIME TO GROW UP, KLAY. His gravity and spacing is what matters. He isn’t what he was, but no one is going to be leaving Klay open for a corner 3. @@devoncarter6369 bc the Warriors doesn't really need him. The Warriors roster is filled with new talented player. His existence blocks their potential from play time to salary cap even from the bench. Meanwhile, he isn't like Iggy where no team needs him. It's a win win for the Warriors and Klay. Y'all wouldn't be saying this BS if klay didn't have that kings game. If klay shot 4/12 y'all would absolutely not being saying shit. Klay didn't want to be there clearly since he bounced right when FA started That warrior team wasn't doing sht in the playoffs and the team was spiraling. My worry with Klay is his pride will be his downfall. He’s giving me the vibe that he’d go as far as playing through a serious injury just to prove he’s “back”, leading to an early retirement. I wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to sit in that chair and look like 2-way Klay this year. I hope he does it without getting injured.

Everybody go crazy talking about championship😕 and not considering defensebetween the big three of the Dallas Maverick. This team is good for the regular season but defense always wins the ring.

idk this is just another story of these dudes in the nba guys that have had it all in life. they’ve always been attractive, very tall, and have never had to actually live a real life, work a job, do anything but play a sport and party from high school into their career in the nba. the life they live exists in it’s own separate plane of existence from us real people. i’m never surprised when these guys act like spoiled brats because what else should they expect? almost all of them have gotten everything they’ve ever needed handed to them from around age 16 well into their 30s

Agree! Klay Thompson’s biggest problem is character development. He’s a spoiled, entitled, rich brat, who hasn’t had to really work for anything like us regular folks. I like Klay Thompson, and I am rooting for his continued success. However, Klay really needs to grow up and develop his character. I believe this move to Texas was the best move for him for his personal growth. Stepping out of his comfort zone may help him improve in all areas of life. Hopefully this move will give him a new outlook on life and maybe someday he’ll realize that basketball isn’t the end all be all.

speaking as a fan, the mavs needed a good shooter and extra scoring option (ffs kidd had to give THJ minutes in the goddamn finals) and klay just happened to be crazy/stupid/eccentric enough to run away from the warriors, so nico harrison (gm) pounced on the opportunity. he’s not expected to be another luka or kyrie, just an excellent roleplayer.

To be honest, I was feeling bad for Klay last season since his past injuries were so debilitating. There are a lot of past players (e.g., Isiah Thomas) who had their career cut short due to similar injuries. Now, he's being a prima donna I don't feel that way all that much anymore. It sucks because Klay was one of my favorite players of this generation. This could just be Hakeem on the Raptors situation, but it had to come with all of this unnecessary drama. Finally, PG, Klay, and others need to stop feeling "disrespected" for getting multi-million dollar contracts. It's ridiculous.

Yea if I had to bet on him making a comeback (only in terms of consistent shot making) then I'd bet in favor. Only cuz it does seem like a mental thing, not a physical thing. He's looked depressed and out of rhythm for most of his games after coming back from injury. I think all the washed klay stuff very early in his return got to him, and he became super self critical and his mentality got worse every time he had a bad game, while the good games were forgotten. And the team showed they didn't value him that much by not paying him after they won in 2022. A fresh start with lower expectations, not as much media noise, and a chip on his shoulder would change his mentality I figure
