I'm sorry, but I don't think Klay has it anymore. I wish he did. I wish we didn't have to see KillaKlay miss by 0/10 FG and 0/6 3pts in an elimination game. how he's missing a step when getting to the hoop. How he failed the team the last 2 years and got relegated to the bench. I"m hoping it's just a mental issue that a change in scenery will repair, but unfortunately, it's probably just father time.

I think the gamble isn’t in the money, but it’s putting him in a starting position and relying on him to make big shots when called to do it. He just hasn’t had the big time makes anymore - it seems like they are more often heartbreaking misses. You hate to see a player like Klay, who has an infectious joy about him, underperform consistently like that.

Klay just needs to be ready for all those open shots on passes from Luka. He's going to get Doncic to 15 assists a game. If they can stay healthy, next year is going to be a joy to watch in the regular season. The playoffs will be really tough, but worry about that later.

Klay has already done his part. Not a single fan seems to understand how taxing it is to go from your peak, the best team, to the bottom. Career ending injury, gym, gym, gym. Watch your team lose who used to dominate for 1-2 years while you sit on the bench. He bounced back, he did his. Now, I just wish him a fun and healthy ending to his career.

Life long warriors fan. The Klay hate is ridiculous. Let's start with his defense. Klay today is worse than klay yesterday, but that don't mean he is still not at least avg to good on defense. I watched the games like other warrior fans and saw plenty of good defensive plays that he made. Better still, saw plenty of great defensive positioning and other help type situations that don't show up on the Stat sheet. The knock on him is that he lost a step, but hell even his lost step due to injury and age still makes him better than some that don't play defense at his level at all (kyrie, Trae, Dame, etc...). I compare him to the rest of the league, not to his past self. By 1996-1997, Mike Jordan had lost a step from 1987-1991, avg. 37 points and dunking on everyone. But you don't say he's trash because you compare him to the competition.,even if his avg points are down from the earlier periods. The media creates narratives and folks just eat it up. His offensive explosiveness is real. The other teams defense against him don't lie. When the defense sags off and doesn't switch on the screens or bite for the pump fakes, then I'll know he's lost that touch. Otherwise, haters keep eating what the media chef serves.

@@K.R_Official. Yeah, he only shot 39% from 3 and averaged 19 a game despite getting benched and his time limited. That and them jerking him around about the new contract and the coaching staff expecting him to get his shots on the same looks he did before his injuries. Just wait until he gets a taste of a true PG getting him the ball open and in position to shoot. I've seen Luka throw a 30' pass cross court from the post and hit the shooter in the numbers. He and Klay are going to be very good friends.

Kyrie and Luka have to move the ball if they want Klay to be effective. All that holding the ball and going one one want work for Klay. Shooters will get out of rhythm easy. Interesting with two ball hogs to see how they will move the ball.
