Thanks for this video. I was falsely assuming clients would only accept Fluke certified tests. We all know how expensive those are. Mike, you’re the man.

You're welcome! There are SOME clients that require it but honestly it's very rare in the calls we get from Field Nation, Work Market, and CloudWork Pro or even direct clients. Even most of my direct contract clients might say they require it on their paperwork but 99.9% of the time they just want a continuity test and a photo of the tester showing pass.

This is not a TDR tool does not certify circuit signaling. This is a tone and test tool. I used the Klein toner for the first time last week very impressed!

Always been a fluke Guy for like 25 years. Did not have my fluke toner with me on a voip job. Ran down. To Lowe’s picked up the toner set was very impressed in some ways better than my fluke. Now a perm tool. I am interested in a review of the Klein network diagram tool 501 770. I get allot more network diagnostic. information with fluke than with any other tool.

Yeah this Klein setup is really nice. Not bad for a non certifier style tester.

Can you use the hublink mode on a poe switch?

@@joemccarthy2109 Great question. It is POE safe. From what I've researched, all modern switches are built to allow toning. There were issues years ago but that's no longer the case.

CWP just doesn't have the volume that the big guys have but when they come they are usually pretty good. Just did one this month for 3 days of work at$80/hr. If nothing else, view it as another option to diversify.
