Just bought the class E because it was on sale. I have a big old melon head and the back of my head hits on the indent from the rear accessory holder. I adjusted the suspension so it works now but beware if you have a big head

I didn't know that having a vented hard hat is not good against electricity. Most of the guys I work with have klein vented hard hats. We mainly do low voltage though.
@Socalfishingkids3 жыл бұрын
When I do high voltage loto you can't have holes on anything, clothes included. Electricity finds its ways.

Electrical Contractor here Mainly Residential I never wear one I hate them they never stay on my big head I made a osha guy hang out with me and pick it up every time I sent over he had to pick it up and had it to me he finally understood ...
@notsure78743 жыл бұрын
They usually understand just fine - they just don't care. I'm not wearing one on residential job unless theres carpenters or somebody on a 2nd floor / roof. Last thing I want is some knuckle dragging tree slayer dropping a 2x4 on my noggin.

What's anybody's opinion whether the black colored one would attract and retain heat? I really like the black one over the other colors. Though it's 100 degrees today and I'm wondering how much of a heat difference, if any it would it be?
@lowvoltageghost8883 жыл бұрын
I think heat will always be heat, I have this Hardhat and a Skullguard MSA and heat is the same, although the air vents is a plus on the Klein Hardhat to keep a bit of airflow. Special here in Houston.

Minor typo -- in the text associated with your links, both the Class C and Class E have the same description -- both say that they are vented.

Thanks so much Chuck. I really appreciate that. I changed the Class E hard hat description to "non-vented" while the Class C description remains "vented".

Would you recommend a hard hat this nice or expensive for a first year apprentice just starting
@notsure78743 жыл бұрын
Depends how much money you have, and how much other stuff you need to get. If you're not tight on cash, the hat alone is about 40 something bucks, but you can get a passable one for less than half that. Don't show up with a fancy hard hat saying you can't afford a hammer - but the cheap ones suck ass. This isn't even really an expensive hard hat, you can easy spend 100 bucks on one without any accessories.
