Yes, it was helpful. I bought mine at Lowes. It did not show in the inventory and the package appeared a bit damaged. But, I bought it so your video helped. I installed a gas water heater and afterwords, smelled a little gas. None of the connections I made appeared to be leaking with soapy water or the Klein Tool. I checked a connection up the line and it passed the soapy water test. Then I used the Klien tool and found where it was leaking and tightened it. So, the tool worked great. I am glad I made the $119 purchase.

Slowly tighten each bolt. Do not fully tighten one bolt and then do the same for the next bolt. That will make the gasket seat properly.

This bag was expensive and only held like 2 power tools and a few other hand tools. Save your money and just buy something else at HD or HF for $200. I still have it after all these years but it is NOT for plumbers. It is made with high quality material though so there's that.

I just bought the dewelt, but both work fine for electrical cables... I'm going to use the Dewalt 4/2 inch. Pecks, and it looks like it will require a hammer swing to firm it up.. From this video either one will work.

@wesleystaub54164 күн бұрын
That's all good ,this only works if the gfci is tightly secured to the box ,suppose the mounting screws loosen ,if this happens you lose your ground, this is why I prefer ground pigtails

Does the plastic backing plate need screwed to the mud ring? If so, what's the point of using a "screwless" wall plate if the backer plate needs screwed to the box? That adds an extra step, whereas a regular plastic wall plate would have been just fine, correct?

I thought sense you are using a 45 degree bend for the center wouldn’t the shrinkage be 1/4 ? 3/16 is for 22.5 which is the outside marks

I swear i just looked at those yeterday. Some of the direct mount boxes that are in line with the trust are incompatible with fan mounts that have anti-rotation Notch 90° offset from that axis. Someone in the electrical industry needs to talk to someone in The Fan industry...

Is great that there such much NEC talk about basic code, but we need more material on material that is more complex such as special equipment , motors, and special conditions.

I agree with the answer to this installation. If you install an NM cable at a single-gang non-metallic box without a cable clamp, then the 18-inch cable length is not allowed. 314.17(B)(2) Exception requires cable support within 8 inches of the box measured along the cable length.

There are 2 Klein borescope apps. One is called ET 16 and one is ET 20. Mine works on ET 16 but it doesn't work on ET 20. I have a fairly recent model Android phone. So if you are having trouble, try the other Klein ap.

Spaky, at 4:10 "enhanced comment" . "Regardless of the width of the electrical..........ect..". Exactly where can I find this 'enhanced content' ? Sounded like you said "2023 AC handbook"? Looking everywhere but to no avail. Thanks for all your help. P.S. I have the new 2023 NEC 70 code book, and the 2023 NEC Applied Codeology books, but don't see it anywhere in there.
@SparkyChannel8 күн бұрын
Hi Kelly. Yes, "enhanced comment" usually refers to the latest handbook, which for us right now is the 2023 handbook. The enhanced comments are usually written in blue and are not found in the regular code book.
