Klein Tools 3005CR Ratcheting Crimper

It's a lot easier if you use the crimper to hold the terminal (ratchet down just enough that it won't move) and then stick the wire in and finish the crimp.

There are other dies available for this crimper. I have a set of dies that crimp copper open barrel ferrules from 10-20 awg. I use the ferrules when I need to put leads into wiring blocks, instead of putting the stripped end in the block and tightning the set screw and have loose wires getting goofed up, ill put a copper ferrule over the strands to keep them neat and clean. The Greenlee K210 is amazeballs. That said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the 3005CR. Still have one in my bag for when I'm too lazy to change out the dies on the K210. =D

Hi there. What would you recommend for non insulated cases? Is there a version or set of jaws available for that?

Klein has another ratchet crimper that can do non insulated terminal you just have to buy the jaws for it. They also make a hand crimper that can crimp no insulated terminals and well.

Why not use them the right way? Put your wire end into tool then push wire into wire end and crimp. It holds the wire end while you put wire excatly where you want it. The way you did it, is much harder and doesnt crimp near as good!
