Edge of Time for the 3ds was so awesome to me as a kid. It was basically the same game with downgrades graphics, but not being able to get my hands on the 360 port made this version my favorite for that reason. It made me think I was doing pretty well until I could get the 360 version again later on

For Tasm 1 3DS/WII version Its very impressive for 3DS But bad for the Wii (web of shadows was on Wii and it had a open world and alternative Suits unlike tasm 1 Wii version which only had 3 Suits (tasm 1/sam raimi/sam raimi symbiote))

This is because this version was made for the 3DS hardware and ported to the Wii later, unlike Edge of Time where the Wii version was made first and then ported to the 3DS. (And you can see this since the Wii version, besides having a better framerate, also has some better graphical effects and even facial expressions on the characters that the 3DS version doesn't have.)

Edge of time on 3ds blew my mind when it came out. Didn't own a current home console at the time so playing that on the go was so cool to me. Also didn't own a psp as a kid so the 3ds graphics were very impressive to me. Cool video!

one time when i was playing the amazing spider man 2 game, it cut to a random crime at the beginning of a level, but then it randomly showed a cutscene of a guy on an operating table for some reason. It was a while ago, so i don't remember it that well. i don't kbnow if it was a glitch, or if it was supposed to play, but it was still really weird

Edge of Time was GREAT on the 3DS considering how hard it must have been to port it. On the other hand, I wish that The Amazing Spider-Man 2012 received a similar treatment in terms of a control scheme. I hated that they changed around the controls and made it awkward to play with. Also, the menus and user interfaces of the 3DS port for TASM were very strange. It was not easy to work with in my experience. Overall, Edge of Time 2011 does a better job of being a playable game on the Nintendo 3DS and comparable in quality to their console counterparts- and I would still highly recommend it.

Yeah I played it before when I was 13 in 2015 about to be 14 February 15 2015 and I asked my brother's friend to let me borrow the game and i will give it to you tomorrow. When he did. I decided to steal his game and take it with me. So I finished the whole game in 1 day. Also that day it was time to move out to another city in Arizona and I still kept his game. Now I play the game on Citra Emulator

The Amazing Spider-Man 1 on 3DS was fun when I played it as a kid. TASM2 was alright, the platform was kinda interesting, but everything else was just there. There’s a lot left to be desired. Edge of Time is the only Spidey game I didn’t play for the system.

Edge of Time on the 3DS was actually kinda impressive, sure, it was basically a downgraded version of the Wii, but it was basically the same Xbox 360 and PS3 game running on the 3DS which was impressive especially considering that it was released in the first year of the 3DS, the only downside is that the 3DS version suffers a lot from the lack of a second analog stick. The Amazing SpiderMan despite not having free-roam is actually a good version for the 3DS, it's kinda funny that instead of porting the Wii version to the 3DS they did the opposite of Edge of Time and made the 3DS version first and then ported it to the Wii. (That's why the Wii version doesn't have any graphical improvements and looks kinda bad for Wii standards) The Amazing SpiderMan 2 is the only one that I would say is really disappointing, they didn't even try.

I asked for the amazing Spider-Man 2 game as a Christmas gift one year and I was given the 3ds version, which I'm not really mad at looking at the facts since it was definitely just due to it being cheaper and me owning both consoles and my mother just not really understanding how games typically work there, but my disappointment was extreme when I found out it wasn't even as good as the Amazing Spider-Man demo I had already played and was impressed by. In theory this could have at least been a good return to 2.5d beat em up gameplay (after all I'd already played tons of the DS Spider-Man 2 game) but the quality just wasn't there at all and I think the biggest highlight of the lack of quality is that they didn't use any filters on the Carnage dialogue and ij general it's just a very poor representation of the game's plot (to the point i don't think I felt spoiled on it when I did play it) Beenox also probably didn't want to handle it because there wouldn't be a Wii version to base it off of and their game already had a bunch of development hell on its own. I don't blame them for offloading it but it's sad how it turned out and I consider it one of the few actually bad games I've ever played.

I’ve actually long preferred 2d Spidey games bc it feels SO GOOD to climb around on the ceilings and swing in that perspective. But either way: 2D isn’t an automatic “step back.” For example: The 2D Thor game on DS is excellent; the Wii and 3DS games are meh; and the PS3/369 games are trash. Camera perspective is a lateral move; only the game’s quality beyond its camera perspective can make it a step forward or back. Alas, sounds like the one 2D game here may indeed be a backslide.

Good impressions/review of the games. Yeah seeing 3D but just fhr linear no open world I think was fair for 3DS. 2D can work like to me the climbing in Gex 1 even if I think the 3D might be better for platforming ghr climbing isn't. So for Spiderman if ghr rest is good sure but thr 2D climbing might be better but maybe on DS then 3DS. For glitches and things for sure ird probably a rough experience vut still cool when they try. Phones are one thing but GameCube or better level hardware and devs going eh just annots me it is possible rhey qre just lazy and pass ir odf to someone else and ir sucks. Vita got some and ir was that bit more powerful and for fhr RAM increase or card size or mobile peocessot and things its clearly possible on 3DS to be a vit less they are just lazy and besides if Vita sold lezs why not a good effort 3DS version sigh. I like both, am more a Vita preferred but still. High Voltage are fine but yeah being passed off is unfortunatefhen Beenox scaling it down that hit further. But yeah level design for linear games matter 3D or 2D and however the exploration/metroidvania paths are of memorable or fun. I enjoy PS2/PSP/Wii ports of amy games if done well while people bag them because oh the graphics I prefer the content differences of some series like Prince of Persia Forgotten Sands Wii is fully based around the system and irs great. Even Army of Two 40th Day PSP was fun besides the console version it does a fair job. Force Unleashed, Sonic Unleashed or Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 I love the Wii version but people go oh different content or graphics and I'm like I prefer the content and fhe graphics are fine. People love to blame presentation but to me if the content is fun I don't care. I play for gameplay and modes or movesets of any human, insect, animal, vehicle, whatever if the presentation sucks it varies how it does not oh graphics and no set pieces blowing people away. I don't minf a camera angle or changes. Its like Killzone Liberation I like irs not a shooter in ghe series first person style but people want consistency and I mean sure but it makes gaming boring ghr lack of cotnent and more graphics is why I hate modern gaminv ghe missions suck the movesets are basic and I don't want to play any of them. I want substance not visuals. If it was food I wouldn't eat it no matter how good it looks. The presentation is good enough for me to binge you bet irs a better version while my NFS Hot Pursuit 360/Switch remaster copies I haven't finished, point made about fun to play then if it looks nice and I fins content boring or samey/tropey. I think the 3D ines look more interesting but the 2D one if the content is weak of legel design or moves or enemies and things then yeah.
