​@@giladmachluf3663Because it's not a Noble Phantasm either. It's a skill. In the original stay night it was placed under the Personal Skills section of Assassin. But in FGO they made it his Noble Phantasm, which is funnily enough the opposite of most extra Noble Phantasms added in FGO that are turned into skills.

That’d be an interesting idea. I think the biggest discrepancy is the ages are kinda weird. Like I think Iori is supposed to be in his late 30s or 40s

Yep! I think that also implies that Iori didn't participate in the Shimabara rebellion in Samurai Remnant's timeline, which could be a contributing factor to his 'disposition' in a particular ending. Also, now having learnt about Takao Dayu's real story, I think that also recontextulizes one of her side stories in the game.

Yeah, like Iori has VERY little resemblance to his historical self. They just gave him whatever for his personality(so much so that the game just gives him more random shit on other playthroughs.)

I would absolutely love the FSR cast to be in FGO, even without a dedicated crossover event. But there's just *so many* of them and they're all *so good* that one event probably wouldn't be enough.

My theory is one of the DLC's is going to be FGO related, and that is when we will see the crossover event. Easy enough to consider FSR a singularity since the macguffin was created from divining events that had not happened yet.

@@Boshea241 I mean, with FGO it's not especially hard to create a circumstance for the event. The real question is who would they include as playable characters, and how would they fit Musashi in; because FSR Musashi does the same dimension hopping as FGO Musashi, so we could assume it's the same. And that's ignoring part of it.

What i hope for DLC is that they explain how Tsuchimikado learned about the ritual to create the waxing moon, as well as giving both caster and Ototachibana-hime more context, because i got kinda dissapointed how caster is basically non existent through out 90% of the game and they don't explain exactly what was the point of Ototachibana-hime (she serves as the maguffin for Chiemon plan, but that makes no sense as Tsuchimikado was the one who planned the ritual.|)

As for why Dorothea is left out of the historical record, I have 2 leads: 1. Concealment of Mystery n' All That. Balthazar Coyett only inherited the business side of Frederik's belongings and role, while Dorothea inherited his Magecraft-related stuff. Maybe she was left out due to not being noteworthy outside of her work as a Mage? 2. Real Crackpot theory here but we know that Jester Karture (Master of False Assassin in Fate/strange fake) at some point went by Dorotea, which isn't exactly the same as Dorothea but the katakana for their names are the same so it could reasonably just be a different translation. If Dorothea somehow did become a Dead Apostle, it's plausible that she/he/whatever could gain enough influence to erase their tracks altogether. BTW, hyped for the Behind the Servants videos for this game, especially Caster's.

Since SR, Iori is my new favourit MC in Fate. I really love his person in general. He trains really hard, he overcomes his mental and physical boundaries, he makes hard decisions but is at the same time still poor in his heart. And the fact, that he can fight nearly at the level of a servant is really great. I mean, he is not a great mage, but he is talented enough to use gem magecraft, enhancement magecraft and can use all five elements with his sword techniques. He's nearly a male Rin with two swords. So he is Rin and Archer in one. 😂

Great video and I agree, if they are to ever be released in FGO I imagine a lot of people would simp for Dorothea. One more interesting fact: Waxing Moon Ritual in game happened in 1651 - same year as Keian Uprising did with Yui Shōsetsu in the center of it all. I can totally see the authorities in game concealing the entire ritual thing by blaming Yui and some random Ronin for everything.

It's really no reason for outrage when you see the whole story. Spoiler: Iori has dedicated himself to becoming the absolute strongest, and goes to almost any lengths necessary to achieve this (it's mentioned in game that Kaya is the main reason he hasn't started murdering in the streets). He did this by cutting away his "excess," which inludes, among other things, his ego and emotions. This is why he's willing to learn from Sasaki Kojirou, despite his supposed rivalry with Musashi in life - Iori can get stronger by studying under him, and nothing else matters (this education is what lets him clutch up against Musashi later). He was captivated by the power he saw as a child, which allowed 1 man to kill dozens, and wanted to surpass it, but can only surpass it by, well, killing the man that killed dozens or someone stronger (at least that's what he thinks). (Edit cos I accidentally hit send too early): The reason Iori is so strong is because his obsession with becoming stronger meant he stopped at nothing to improve, and years of living like that brought him up to a point where he can compete against Servants. It also doesn't help that a lot of things were botched about the Waxing Moon Ritual, so much so that Tsuchimikado states that the Waxing Moon isn't even a proper wish-granter (which I'm pretty sure comes down to there being no proper equivalent to the Greater Grail, but idk), with some Masters having no experience in Magecraft whatsoever, so it makes sense that some of the Servants would be weaker.

Which one? Iori is almost certain to be a saber, Zheng I see as a caster in the same vein as Waver. Chiemon strikes me as a berserker sort. And Tsuchimikado is rather obviously a caster sort.

It would all depend on what they decide the qualifications are, which basically means they make them up to fit the character they choose. If it's pure swordplay, I doubt any would be better than Musashi. Musashi far outclasses Saber in swordplay, as we see Saber struggled in cqc vs Kojirou and Musashi outclasses Kojirou in cqc. If it's based on "BEAMS" because all good Sabers have a beam, then Saber would be the obvious pick. Shit they could do "greatest charisma" and then force Gilgamesh to be it if they wanted to.

I hope not, some of the info regarding Musashi is made up in actual history and the book of five rings was actually not popular in Japan until a radio drama in the 60s (or 50s) that's really where the modern popularity of Musashi comes from. There were more influential and important swordsmen in Japanese history really.
