The Gilgamesh CE might have a hidden layer of meaning behind it. It is implied that Gil presents you with the Key of Babylon. This in effect is him appointing you, Ritsuka, his castellan. While a seneschal has more temporal power, no one is more trusted by the King than his castellan. That individual holds for his king the literal keys to the kingdom; the vaults, the armories and the royal chambers all are only accessible by the keys held by the castellan. No one save the king may command him to open the doors or bar the way. As Siduri is already his seneschal, Gilgamesh pays you honor by giving you the role of the person he most trusts among his servants. Such a tsundere!

When I got the bond 10 ce, I interpreted it as Gil literally giving you the key to his powers, as he trusts you enough to either fully unleash it or close the gate should he ever go against you. Essentially, you are now Gils personal attaché and hold access to anything he has used. He trusts you will guard it.

The best reasoning that I can suggest for Ishtar's CE is that the warhammer is actually the same entity as the seven-headed serpent killed by Ninurta during the Slain Heroes myth, thus symbolising that her original role as a war goddess has been largely usurped from her by newer gods, presumably because she was causing trouble for everyone.

Tametomo's story is both tragic and kind of funny in a dark sort of way. Tametomo: Son if you are to die on this day, let it be by my hand. Then, after finishing the deed, he picks up his bow firing one last shot, supposedly sinking an entire boat (though more likely just hitting a near impossible shot on the boat's mast), scaring off his enemies all at once. Tametomo: ...ARE YOU SHITING ME?!

For Ashwatthama: He actually has a stroy tied to the Sudarshana Chakra; Krishna tells this story to Yudhishtira: Ashwatthama wanted to posses the weapon himself and actually asked Krishna for it. To Ashwatthama's surprise, Krishna was seemingly willing to hand him the Chakra and placed it on the ground and asked Ashwatthama to simply pick it up. However, Ashwatthama was unable to move the chakra no matter how hard he tried. The CE is called "The One That I Couldn't Obtain" because Ashwatthama literally could not obtain the Sudarshana Chakra

It's kind of a shame that Kid Gil never gets any serious lore. He has the potential to be really interesting, given he's a version of Gil before he met Enkidu, and even before he decided to take humanity's side against the gods according to Fate. According to CCC, he was so emotionally isolated at this time that it warped such a good boy like Kid Gil into the Archer Gil we all know. But, Fate only seems interested in using him as a joke.

i've always loved the symbolism of Chloe's curse of shared pain, there's so many layers to it and what makes it perfect is that even after Bazett reveals how easy it is to dispell, Chloe still keeps it

iirc, Chloes Bond-CE actually implies that she expands or reapplies her curse of shared pain, but with us, signifying her dedication to her new Master, since she and the other Prillya-Servants are technically not actual Servants, but living humans registered as Servants by Chaldea, so she technically also shouldn't have that same Master-Servant bond as everyone else, the curse thus being a way to get closer to that.

Gil’s CE makes me question, though; it can’t be used to open the gate, but I’m guessing anyone can use it to close the gate?
@abear1891 Жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, Ishtar did close his gate of Babylon in fate strange fake. This eventually caused Gilgamesh to fight Alcides by picking up weapon on ground that he fires before Ishtar close his GoB

Tomoe's bond CE basically has her comment on the Noh play "Tomoe" that serves as a basis for her character.

About Arjuna: I don't know what the CE is supposed to suggest, since Nasu bastardised the character to hell and back. However, if I had to guess, it refers to either of the two things: - the grand game of dice, in which Yudhishthira lost his kingdom to Duryodhana because the game was rigged, and Arjuna woved to kill Karna because he called the Pandava's shared wife, Draupadi, a whore; - Arjuna giving gold to Yudhishthira for the commencement of Rajasuya yagna, the ritual that marked Yudhishthira as the king of Indraprastha, which arguably led to the aforementioned game of dice and, later, the Kurukshetra war as a whole.

Tesla's thunder connection is because he was the first one who tried to predict a strike and build something strong enough to endure the thousands of Volts and distribute or store. He also dreamed of electricity being able to travel without wires, like lighting/thunder would. To be more historically accurate, Tesla needs to be accociated with AC circuits - a current with several phases of activity and polarity, as that is the base of the worlds power source. For that reason alone he is the Father of Electricity, even if the Greeks discovered static electricity hundreds of years prior.
