Thanks for making such great review/testing from "scientific" angle! Appreciate all of the work behind this.

Thank you for your helmet reviews they are an invaluable resource. I am in the market for my next helmet and will certainly buy through Champion. Noise on highway stints is definitely a concern for me and I'm really surprised that your test rates the Klim quieter than everything else - everywhere else I've read that the Klim is a noisy helmet, and that the Schuberth is the quietest helmet that exists (perhaps in particular with the peak removed). Any ideas why this might be? It's hard to pick when all the helmet reviewers are saying something different.
@Championhelmets3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. This is the exact reason why we developed the data driven approach. We noticed that all channels were saying different things about the same helmet, and most of the time it is mainly opinions right? We measure the noise over long stretches of highway and do this with the professional measuring equipment on the same bike and mostly under the same conditions, sometimes we test them on different days though. We just share the data, we show our rating matrix and we leave the conclusion and opinions up to our customers. One thing is for sure: numbers don't lie. And yes it costs us a lot of time to gather and process all the data but our goal is to make life easier for you guys to form a well considered opinion. In this video we lined them up and concluded all Adventure Helmets tests we’ve done into 1 video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYDEoZinpaZqd5o the Klim came out on top, it performed the best and was the best adventure helmet for 2021.

It seems like you have something against this helmet. Is it something we should know? For example, by your own sound isolation rating it should be 5 stars. But, you give it 4.5. Why?
@robertmitchell8728 Жыл бұрын
You also hit it with 4 stars on the visor. when it comes with a transitions lens and a clear lens in the box. And both are pinlock ready with a pinlock lens included. And you can comfortably wear glasses. Which I would argue, beats pulling over to switch the lens. Or helmet bulking drop lens.

I m riding a bmw r1200 gs. No enduro no off road. Just sometimes i drive to the small village roads and 3-4 hours long way trips. I want just a comfortable,quiet and good quality ride. Is this helmet a good choice for 1200 gs? Shall i buy it? Please write your comments who is using it.

Now this is a review, well done! Is the krios pro helmet prepared for glasses?
@Championhelmets4 жыл бұрын
While the Krios Pro has not been specifically prepared for glasses, since it is an adventure helmet with more space around the visor, it will still fit them comfortably. Thanks for the question!

Nice video, if you compare the ventilation which one is better. The shoei adv or this one?
@Championhelmets4 жыл бұрын
For ventilation, we found the Krios Pro did much better out on our road test since it was able to keep an equal temperature to the outside while the Hornet ADV was 6 degrees hotter. Thanks for the question!

Is there wind grab with the peak? That’s always been my fear of an adv helmet as I do mostly interstate
@Championhelmets4 жыл бұрын
Hi Dustin, after discussing it with our test rider, he said that the Klim helmet's performance in the wind was very gentle. He even found it performed better than the Shoei Hornet ADV or the Arai Tour X4. However, it's also important to keep in mind that other helmets such as modular or full face will do better for aerodynamics due to their smoother profile. Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts on the Krios Pro?

What are the two shell sizes that this helmet comes in?
@Championhelmets3 жыл бұрын
The shell sizes are distributed from XS - M and from L - XXXL. Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts on the Klim helmet?

I think fit may end up being a problem. I believe I’m at the high end of a medium. This could result in needing thinner padding in a size medium or thicker padding in a size large. Neither options to me are desirable. Also, not having a channel for eye glasses or pockets for speakers is a negative for me. Don’t know if the positives outweigh the negatives. I’m looking hard at the Touratech Aventuro Carbon 2 helmet. I’m wondering why this helmet isn’t being reviewed by the big players. It it possible that it is because it is only sold by Touratech and not sold through chain stores such as RevZilla, Cyclegear, and others? I’m just guessing, I may be wrong....I just haven’t noticed it sold anywhere else.
@Championhelmets3 жыл бұрын
@@bobvandick2546 At the moment, we don't currently stock the Touratech so we have not been able to take it out on the road. However, it does offer an extra shell size, which gives it an advantage. Alternatively, we have also tested out both the Arai Tour X4 (5 shell sizes) and the Shoei Hornet ADV (4 shell sizes), and you can check out their results here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ-7amxvnrhkrNE Thanks for the reply, we appreciate it! Did you by chance measure noise with the peak removed. It may not be the dominant noise source but for long highway miles, I might be inclined to take it off if there was a significant reduction in noise.

Something wrong with the weight, i weighted mine : Klim Krios Pro size L 1540g and Shoei Hornet Adv size L 1560g
@Championhelmets4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for letting us know! We'll make sure to double check, but we always make sure to measure our helmets in a size M with the same scale. What do you think of how the Klim and the Shoei compare?
@sukhoi37474 жыл бұрын
@@Championhelmets the weight is much heavier than size M probably is because of the same shell size for L and XXL. Shoei quality is on another level. Top vent on klim does not work. Shoei top vent is working really well. Shoei peak is more solid and has better coverage with similar aerodynamic. I love klim magnetic neck strap and transition visor. Other than that I prefer Shoei Hornet ADV for everything else.
@Championhelmets4 жыл бұрын
@@sukhoi3747 The number we measured according to the scale is correct, and the heavier weight likely is a result of the different shell sizes. Thanks for sharing how you found the helmet!

Does the Transitions visor really work?
@Championhelmets4 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Transitions visor does really work, though we didn't focus on it during our review, it is also possible to see small sections where the visor is at different tints. Thanks for the question!
@fredhale78063 жыл бұрын
As seen all over the net, it is only a matter of time before the shield will not stay up. Klim will fix it for another short period of time, but only if you ship it in at your expense. It is cheaper to just keep regularly buying the part for 15.00. Makes for a very expensive non reliable helmet v

I have one of these helmets and they are very good except for 1 annoying thing....I can't get the visor to seal against the top opening properly when in the closed position despite numerous attempts to adjust it, the net result is water leaking into the helmet via the visor which is incredibly annoying.
@fredhale78063 жыл бұрын
A real pain to adjust but there is info online due to people trying to keep the visor from slamming shut all the time. Requires constantly replacing ratchet brackets.
