Thank you for the excellent review and bonus history lesson. And the destruction test! Now that’s dedication. I’m glad it kept you in one piece.. Do you think the Krios Pro would protect you as well as the uvex did uder the same extreme circumstance?

Thanks so much for the comment David. I am sure the Pro with the new Koroyd lining will do an even better job than the Uvex or normal Krios. :)

can you wear the original Krios in colder temperatures? I'm thinking to pick up the almost identical Nishua while it still exists...
@pikipikioverland Жыл бұрын
Yes, we wore ours in freezing temperatures. But just you know there's quite a lot of differences between the old Nishau/Uvex and the KRIOS :)

Great video. Rookie question: What makes a helmet go “old” ? I bought a midrange helmet 7 years ago & I do not ride a lot. How will I know when to replace it ?
@pikipikioverland2 жыл бұрын
to be honest, I think if a helmet is kept in a good dry place, not close to fuel fumes and such stuff, looked after it can be used for more than 5yrs. In our case, old means the wear and tear just got to a point where it was old. The seal around the visor got worked out, the pins and notches on the visor got worked out. But we send them home and can still use them there for daily go-to-town quick trips. The EPS does get hard after years which reduces impact ability. I would say after 7/8 years I would rather get a new one and keep the old one for spare case day :)
