Haven't listened to this song in probably over a decade, but I just listened to a Paul Kelly song for the first time ever ("From St Kilda To Kings Cross") and the first line immediately reminded me of this song. Pretty sure it's a lyrical nod to Paul Kelly. Paul Kelly - "From St Kilda to Kings Cross is thirteen hours on a bus" Klinger - "From St Kilda to Altona North is fourteen hours on public transport"
