I have never owned Klipsch, but I often hear/read goid things about them. Do you have any thoughts/opinions on Pioneer HPM 150s. I have a beautiful pair of those...partnered with Magnepan MMGs , connected to a Pioneer SX 1010.

I really wish pioneer didn't suck ass today and they still made these as a specialty item to the same standards of quality, only with updated better parts, faster transistors ect. But keep it class ab and the aesthetics exact, even if it would cost 6 to 7 grand new in today's money, especially because of there being no cost cutting, just like in the original, I'd STILL buy it..... But nope that won't happen, kids in my generation don't know shit about audio and just like crap wimpy bluetooth speakers, airpods & beats headphones... Nice setup man! Still... why play youtube with such a system? It limits its potential incredibly, get a nice dac like an lks with foobar streaming flac and dsd from a computer!

1. What is your source of music? With this level of speakers, should play CD, Vinyl, or lossless 2. If you like vintage as I you have your current amp, you should invest in Pilot 299, Fisher 800, ... Eico HF81. "Right tube" integrated amp will drive all Klipsxgorn, LA Scala, Cornwall, Forte, and Heresy. 3. Invest on good DAC if you play digital music.

The sound isn’t perfect, low frequincies are to boomy...maybe it’s a problem of Klipsh Corwalls. I had few years ago Klipsch Fortes, was the same problem..or you turn on loudness button on Pioneer?

The sound is too boomy, listening in long terms it’s ‘hurting’ my ears. You should turn off loudness button. Your speakers are very sensitive, amp has 270 watts, you don’t need that. Turn off loudness and you get 100% pure music ! ;)

I agree that Fortes are too boomy. But they are WAY different from Cornwalls. Fortes us a 15" passive woofer in the rear. Cornwalls do not. I have quartets, the little brothers of Fortes and even they are too boomy for my taste. Im not a fan of passive radiators. OTOH I dont think Cornwalls are "boomy" at all, they just sound BIG!
