Speakers yes they are amazing! but subs not really a lot of people complain about weak amps that you are forced to replace it even a couple of times during warranty! If you have a bit more cash and want extreme quality take SVS PB 1000 and that sub will outperform klipsch. I am currently on a track to buy PB 2000 PRO.SVS gives 5 years warranty on everything!

Set your sub always a few extra feet away than measured, or auto calibration will have set. This pulls the bass timing better in-line with your front towers due to lag. Ffs too, muffle that rear port by padding the wall behind it, rather than let it muddy the bass from bouncing off the wall and mixing in like a sewer pit. I hate rear sub ports. Set your cruddy Polk Audio towers to 80hz, and have the sub cross-over at

I asked on Amazon if you need any receiver or amplifier in order to use this subwoofer with the Klipsch R-51PM. The answer was this: "The sub has to be connected to a receiver or amp in order to hear it! The r-51pm are bookshelf speakers which also need to be connected to a receiver or amp! Without it, you will hear, NOTHING!!!" I asked Klipsch, they said I don't need a receiver for this. Can you please advise which is the correct answer ? Thank you.

can you pair this subwoofer with the r-41m bookshelf speaker pair? do you need a seperate amp to do so?

Only if your receiver or amp has a dedicated subwoofer or pre-out RCA jack, since there are no speaker level input or our output connectors on the Klipsch R-120SW .

Rear porting sux. If I had to choose between a Klipsch, or SVS, I'd choose SVS. Klipsch subs just don't do it for me no matter how much I tune with knowledge, they are just a pig. The rear port doesn't help, and just adds to the mud.

Nice sub! But for an audio equipment video, the music was terrible. Like a jerk kid constantly turning the volume knob up and down.

i have this sub. Does really well with movies. A bit lackluster on music though. Klipsch isn't well known for that though. It's why hopefully one day can own an SVS sub Update: I bought the SVS PB1000 Pro. Major difference and much deeper. The klipsch wet my appetite but now SVS has brought me to a new realm.

@@Shadow-js2yn i do but the bass is a bit boomy. It doesn't have that depth but again this is a budget sub. Don't get me wrong it's awesome especially for a dolby soundtrack but it reminds you that it's nowhere close to a premium sub quality.

Klipsch ships all subwoofers with the grills off inside separate boxes/plastic inside the box. Yours coming with the grill already attached makes me think it's a fake.
