Good one, i think the marshal sounded more balanced out of the three while the old klipsch sounded more rich, full overall, the new klipsch sounds more a bit muffled & bass heavy I think the EQ can do well for all when properly adjusted My pick is the older Klipsch Why do these boxes not have handle though for easy move around?

It's not really advertised, but the Klipsch The One 2 phono uses the aptx hd codec. I also have the Klipsch The Three 2 snap on version, and that only uses sbc.

Just wanted to say thank you for doing this comparison! I came across it when researching The One II vs Plus - I'd found a McLaren special edition of The One II at B&H (I'm a total car nut) but needed to make sure I could justify the older model. Sound quality is big for me too and the EQ on the Plus was one of the bigger draws. This video helped me solidify my choice to get the II...just came in yesterday and I'm thrilled with it. The vocals are definitely a little muddled and sound profiles are really different based on music type and of course all of the other variables that would take a year to list...but overall it's brilliant. Also you're totally adorable 😋

I bought the Klipsch The One II, and I found the bass to be boomy, indistinct, and overall. Though, the mids were pretty fantastic. I’m guessing that if I didn’t like the previous The One’s sound, this is not gonna change my mind?

The Acton III needs the treble cranked up to max before it sounds decent. It's a bit boomy and plastic sounding but not too bad. I hate how the power on/off switch doesn't actually turn the unit off properly. It consumes about half a watt when off, while plugged in. I bought the Acton III today and discovered this, not impressed! Might return. 🔌 A power button labelled "off" should mean off, otherwise call it "standby" or "sleep".

The Marshall sounded like the treble was turned up too high. The new Klipsch sounded like the treble was turned down a bit too much, almost like its tweeter was disconnected. And the old Klipsch sounded a bit "scooped" in the midrange. I'm not sure I'd be happy with any of them.

From what I can hear from my headphones (sony xm3) from KZbin video, the best sounding device is Marshal, second place is Klipsch one (old) and the last in quality is Klipsch One Plus. What you think, why the impression from video is different from your opinion?

The large floor standing speakers of the 70's and 80's paired with contemporary amps produced the most realistic concert sound. Sadly, the compressed digital music played through these small speakers of today does not even compare.

The grill on the Marshall home line speakers are not metal (action, stanmore, Woburn), it’s a woven material. The Marshall portable speakers have the tougher metal grill (Emberton, willen, Middleton etc.)

The One II (terrible name) has preferred style of mid century modern, with the sharp edges and heavily textured fabrics... But the additional tech in the plus (better name, still not great... I don't know what they will be forced to call the next iteration) makes it slightly more versatile. Annoyingly, they sell for roughly the same price, so it's not even a decision that can be left up to the economics...

Klipsch is not Klipsch anymore and their quality and superior sound are gone forever because they are owned by audiovox !! Yes that’s been since March of 2011. They’re now a Walmart signature series product
