How nice your viewpoint of travelling on a flight is. I have seen content of these spoiled brats (wohlstandsverwahrlost) complaining nonstop about the hard and impossible obstacles they have to endure. Sign of the times, I suppose. Anyhow, thank you for the gorgeous views. The meal presentation is top notch. I worked for three decades as cabin crew, and even though I haven’t seen an aircraft from inside since I retired five years ago, I do like to rake a peek. During the take off sequence so many memories of the times I had in Capetown came rushing back. But to be honest, I don’t miss it at all. I just want to be at home, with my loved ones and my two dogs, go for long walks here in the mountains near the Austrian border, eat good food and truly enjoying the slow pace I have adopted. Thank you for your video.

Indeed I have flown KLM & absolutely love them. I flew several times Atlanta- Amsterdam Once I flew Memphis- Amsterdam (they had a code share with NW). I flew them to Johannesburg from Atlanta with a change of planes in Schiphol. I had the pleasure of flying business class on the upper section of their 747 several times.

I flew KLM a few years ago on my way to Amsterdam. I loved the entire experience. I flew Premium Economy and was very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the flight attendants were very kind. Highly recommended.

KLM is one of my favourite carriers. I flew with them 4 times last month. As an example of how punctual they normally are, they sent me a text while I was in Lisbon apologising that my connecting flight to Amsterdam would be 10 minutes late in departing. Excellent review as usual.

Last year I flew KLM Business class for the first time, GRU/LHR. Very nice experience, service food and comfort. This old layout of 2-2-2 is being phased out now, on my return journey it was partner airline A.F. which had the superior 1-2-1 layout which is better if you’re travelling alone. I would certainly recommend KLM to any of my friends/associates. Thanks for your well documented review.

Do you know the story behind the Delft miniature houses? In 1952, airlines were not allowed to give gifts to their passengers. KLM got around this by making each one a Gin "bottle" and giving these to customers instead. Of course, the other airlines complained but we still see them today, and traditionally still filled with Dutch Gin. Since the beginning, there have been 102 different houses issued and people collect. There are 14 particular houses which are very rare and change hands for interesting money! So if you receive a house from KLM, keep it because your grandchildren maybe one day have a good inheritance.

In 1952, IATA forbade airlines to give gifts costing more than 75 cents to passengers. KLM got around this by offering a glas of Dutch gin to passengers but did not serve it in a glass but in a bottle in the shape of a little Delft Blue house. IATA took KLM to court because of his but the court ruled in KLM's favor because nothing was said about the packaging of the gift.

KLM are the most polite and friendly aircrew I have flown with. Nothing was to much trouble wether in economy or business class. We used to fly with KLM all the time going long haul but now since we have moved cities they don’t operate in our regional airport. Saying this I have never flown Singapore Airlines, they are supposedly be the no.1 for aircrew

I have flown KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in a Business and economy the past 3years within Europe and also Long Haul to Asia and UAE onward bound to Australia and they have always been flawless The pilot has always come out and spoken to us individually 8:14 when in Business Class. Compared to EK EY SQ that I have flown in First and also Business Class I still have memorable KLM flights and inferior EK EY and SQ flights 🙏

Hi!! Beautiful vlog. Very nice. Wow that was music to my ears those engines. And they're at 175,000hp? How about that. And those weren't even the engines from a 777-300ER nor the 777-200LR!! You were on either the 777-200 or the 200ER. And Boeing still produces the 777-200. Wow. I hear that on the dreamliners, each engine fan blade is equivalent to 800hp. Those engines are very strong. Very very nice and beautiful flight. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!

Your videos have made me calm and relaxed for quite a few years now. They are always the highest quality, watching them can take anybody to tranquility. Is there any sort of regulation about the pixelation of faces? I'm sad because of this, it might be a small detail for some, but for me it causes less calmess. There is (for me) something dehumanizing in this solution.

Interesting.. This airplane is line number 499 and was delivered by Boeing in early 2005. For reference the current delivery line numbers are around the mid 1700s. It's nice to see it still doing a good job.

I frequently fly KLM in business class from Houston to Amsterdam. Always find the service great and they many unique Dutch touches. Food is fine. Unfortunately, they now have the A330 on this route. Much prefer their 787 seat counterparts.

KLM Asia flies to Africa, LOL. But the 777 is quite comfy, at least KLM did not squeeze in 7 business class seats in a row like Emirates does even in his new 777.

The lounge looked good. The KLM flight obviously the old seats but forgetting that the meal looked poor. Only two courses to choose from and the one you had wasn't a salmon Wellington ( pastry lattice better name ) and was tiny. I'd rather have a good meal than small plastic clogs and delph pots.

KLM (AF) must have its own lounges; this one is a bit shabby and so is their BC, despite the fine crew etc. It's not all 'top knotch'

I flew this same configuration last week, and my biggest complaint was that the dividers between the seats weren’t tall enough. I don’t mean to sound petty, but a little more privacy can go a really long way towards creating the most comfortable experience-especially for the cost involved. Other than that, I really enjoyed the fight and the service was excellent.

I almost exclusively fly KLM, Only two flights was with another carrier in the last 10 years. Westjet and Alitalia. Both on KLM codeshare. Funny detail, I have flown this exact aircraft in 2017 towards Capetown. The other way around compared with you.

Nice cabin, but I don't like that there is no direct aisle access for the window seats. Cathay has a 2-2-2 layout too but all seats have direct aisle access. As for a meal in Business class, I find it cheap to offer "cheese *or* dessert". It should be "cheese *and* dessert". Maybe if you ask nicely you can get both :)

Rather rewarding to watch the inflight safety video. Shows KLM has good people in charge of bringing together the talents from ceramics, creative media and videography etc altogether to showcase such a mammoth but worthwhile effort. What happened to the painted tiles? While watching and enjoying a late afternoon meal of really tasty kampong chicken tonic soup albeit canned with freshly steamed Thai jasmine rice, one realises the meals onboard really looks bad these days although the credit goes to KLM for serving them in china. Shamefully, SIA serves food in throwaway paper boxes and claimed the environmentally conscious move makes serving laksa available. What a hogwash when they just helped themselves to 8 months of bonus and who knows how much more for their management level. Well, the Delft Blue miniature houses are remarkable parting souvenir and I would have picked the same one as yours.

I had a very bad experience in a klm flight.The outward flight Paris Bangkok by Air Fance was no problem. The trouble started in the return flight Bangkok /Paris via Amsterdam by KLM when i started my klm registration with a french friend. The klm staff told me that there is something wrong with my passport. It was a diplomatic passport. I travelled many years with the same passeport in different european countries and others continents thince i was a kid. I had any problem with the thai and french police because my passport was in order and i don’t need a visa to enter the shenghen zone like Amterdam and Paris and also many countries. After yelling and protested in th Klm desk more than 1 hour, finally they let me go. When we got in the flight, the seat and the space for the foot was very small and the flight complely full, it was hot and we had 2 hours late before take off. Many people protested. When i arrived in Amterdam i was welcomed by a police cordon at the door of te flight for passeport control. After 2 seconds the chief of the police gave me back my passeport. I was the only one in the flight who has been controlled. After that my french friend end me missed our connection flight to Paris. We had 4 hours flight late. When we arrived in Paris, we did not found our luggage. we got it 1 week later… Sometimes it is not a good idea to travel as a black people ahhhhhhh…..

My wife and l recently flew KLM business class ftom Johannesburg to Amsterdam, we the flight was 40 minutes late arriving, the cabin crew we not very friendly or helpful and the food was awful. Our return flight was better as the cabin crew were much better unfortunately the food was still terrible, we had better food flying economy class on SAA from Johannesburg to Harare.
