What's that instrument in Giant Fort that sounds like a hybrid between a piano and an electric guitar? It's the loudest instrument throughout most of the song.

Giant Fort uses almost no samples (only the percussion is sampled, and those samples are taken directly from Sonic 2. The rest of the instruments are synths). The instrument playing the song's melody is the LMMS built-in "Vibed" synth (Described as a "Vibrating String Modeler") tuned with a noise wave and very low length, but also very low string stiffness. I wasn't really going for the sound of any particular string instrument, just sort of looking for some settings that I thought would fit the aggressive and overbearing mood I wanted for the song. I know that's kind of disappointing that the instrument is just sorta made up... I guess I had something along the lines of a shamisen or koto in mind when I was tuning the synth, but didn't look up references of either during the process.

i've got .WAVs at www.cello2wc.com/data/audio/lmms/klonoa-mm-remake/ they're just the files used in-game by the remake project im working on, so they're all one loop each along with a file defining which sample each track loops back to once it reaches the end. thats probably at least higher-quality than you'd get from youtube-dl or smth, but perhaps i should export some .FLACs....
