Anyone else notice that the boss arenas in the second Klonoa game mirror those in the first one? Rongo Lango / Folgaron - circular Seadoph & Pamela / Leptio - circular Gelg Bolm / Biskarsh - straight with springs Baladium / Polonte - straight with momentum Joka / Leorina - circular Ghadius / Baguji of Sorrow - inner circular Nahatomb / King of Sorrow - circular

I just thought of something...Klonoa has no memory of the events of The Door to Phantomile correct and the King of Sorrow looks like Klonoa as well...what if the King of Sorrows was a embodiment of those lost memories...of losing his best friend and well everything.

A good theory, Alan West. A good theory indeed. 🤔❔✌️
@vokani54215 жыл бұрын
the more I think about it the more it makes sense, he didn't want to leave his friends at the end of Door to Phantomile but didn't have a choice, what if the only way for him to still be ok was to split the memories from him, but unfortunately it became its own being
@mysteriousbeing30145 жыл бұрын
It’s interesting to the say the least, how do you suppose his other friends joined him on his adventures? How do you suppose your theory applies to Klona’s Companions?

@@vokani5421 Also fitting given the last level before the King of Sorrow is "The Forgotten Path" as if Klonoa is traveling towards those lost memories.

That is actually an interesting theory. I have another idea, as farfetched as it sounds. What if Lunatea was a dream world Klonoa unknowingly made, and each major character was an embodiment of himself at the end of Door to Phantomile. Lolo could have been his innocent child-like self, Leorina could represent him growing up and growing out of his innocent self, and the King of Sorrow being the embodiment of his sorrow to learn that all his memories were fake and he lost Huepow, someone he held as a close friend. The story of Klonoa 2 would basically be him exploring his own dream, and overcoming his own overbearing sorrow after Door to Phantomile. I could be misconstruing a lot of the messages in this game, but its a thought I had after playing the game again and reading your theory.

It's not enough for Klonoa to defeat his sorrow... he must embrace it, and make peace with it.

This game... So many feels from 2001... And this track is simply elegant in every way for a final boss theme. I hope this game gets put on the PlayStation Store someday. I really do.

Unsure if anyone has made this assessment, but I like to think that the reason the King of Sorrow is in a barrier in this fight is to represent him trying to keep others away from him and trying to isolate himself once more, hence why he never really attacks himself and has the barrier be the one to attack them (honestly, I may do a deep dive on this boss fight alone)

I wish this game was re-released on PSN. Getting a legal copy is way too difficult with it being a rare highly priced game! This is why I am holding onto my copy on the remake of the original on Wii!

Dumbest comment on this video by far: but this song reminds me of driving to cub foods at 2:30 am hoping my parents don't wake up and realize I'm gone, cuz that would send them into a frenzy.

It sounds similar to Trouble! from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
