ITS KLONOAAAA!
A mix of the very first stage~ I'm sorry this took so long, I sprained my wrist so soon after I made that Klonoa post and I was outta commission for two months
Working on this piece has meant a lot to me, and I'm very proud of this one
I hope that you guys will enjoy this mix as much as I did making it. I'm so excited for Klonoa to be back. The Klonoa series is one of my biggest inspirations in terms of nostalgia, feelings, storytelling, and even music! This one took a lot of time to do as well because I really wanted to capture the nostalgia and the feelings I get when thinking about and playing this game, and I put a lot, a LOT of heart into this one~

I'd like to imagine a potential Smash trailer showing off his moveset, then ending with Klonoa, Kirby, Rayman, NIGHTs, and Sora chilling together, sleeping under the stars. The gaming heroes of dreams, all together for the first time. I'd like to throw Sackboy in there, but Sony would never allow that sadly, they don't play well with others.

IM SO HOPING IT DOES WELL!!! I’d love to see an expansion of this universe and all of its themes and story building I’m sad that the US won’t be getting physical copies as far as I know but I’m hoping that the fan base here will still help it thrive 💕

its really sad to see some really good and impactful franchises slowly fade to obscurity klonoa is one of the most unique and inspiring series i have ever come across, the amazing story with sad yet happy twists, character designs that may be similar or inspired by the sonic franchise are really unique, gameplay that us balanced fun and enjoyable, and of course magnificent music, overall one of the best games to ever exist in my opinion. this remix really shined a light in me similar to that of whene i first played klonoa on the ps1 it made me feel so happy and so sad at the same time. i rarely shed tears to any media really but this really got me crying, wishing that i can experience klonoa like i never did before for just one time. thank you starriko for reminding us with an amazing memorie! even if klonoa never comes back, he will forever live in my heart. wahoo!

The concept of it is so beautifully narrative and dreamy I wish more media would experiment and touch base on concepts similar to Klonoa narratively and emotionally and esp aesthetically A moment in Klonoa games I wish I could experience again for the first time would be when they first introduced and showed the moon kingdom Absolute core memory for me

I am a fan of the Klonoa saga, and this remix has made me feel that great fanaticism to the fullest, the song has made me feel, the remix sounds peak, nostalgic, magical, when at the end the jingle of the song of rebirth plays, God, it was very good, it's a very VERY good remix, congratulations!

Man, this take on The Windmill Song is just beautiful. I could totally see it being used in, like, a Klonoa anime or something... I really wish that movie didn't get cancelled. Nice work! ...those additional leitmotifs near the end. Good lord.

@@starrikoworks Huh, didn't think this would be the way you'd find out about it... but yeah, there was actually going to be a Klonoa anime movie that was in pre-production between 2016-2019, but after that it unfortunately got cancelled for reasons I'm not aware of. I joined the Klonoa fanbase last year around the time Phantasy Reverie Series first came out so this loss doesn't sting as hard for me, but it stings nonetheless because I feel the Klonoa series would be a perfect fit to receive an anime movie of sorts. We do have some concept art from when it was in development, though, which depict Klonoa with an entirely new outfit. One such piece of concept art even depicts him and Huepow together, though from what I've heard, the plot of the movie wasn't going to be a complete retread of Door To Phantomile. We may never know just what new journey would've unfolded for the two, or if even more characters from the series would've been featured. I for one would've loved to see Lolo and Popka turn up in it... But who knows? With how successful the new remasters have been, perhaps Bandai Namco could give it another shot? It's not too likely, but more official Klonoa content is always good!

The original was alright but I always felt like this song was missing some oomph, this provides the oomph I was looking for, being 100% honest I will listen to this version every time over the original. So yeah of the songs from Klonoa that I thought needed a remix most this one was right at the top, nice job with this suddenly windmill song goes from somewhat average first level theme to one of the greats like Mario World 1 and Green Hill Zone. Maybe it's just me, maybe other people thought the OG was good and it is in some ways but I just feel like every other song in the game overshadows it a little TOO much I know it's also unfair to judge it this way because it's a PSX game but the original Wind Song has a very weak sound to it, like the quality just isn't there which sounds unfair until you listen to the other songs in the game with almost studio quality sound, so yeah this remix was much needed already but went way above and beyond.
