Absolutely gutted to hear about the death of Taylor Hawkins 😭 I was never a Foo Fighters fan particularly, but to me, Taylor really stood out...for his talent, his originality, and most of all, his humanity. Τaylor Hawkins is a great drummer. In the sense that he drums into the song and does not meaninglessly show off. Look at him here: with a kinergarten drum kit, he produces a nearly perfect sound. Excellent.

The thing I love the most about Taylor and Dave Grohl is how much they adore(d) music. It doesn’t matter if they’re playing Wembley or if Taylor and his cover band are playing Bowie at a radio station on a tiny drum kit. For Dave it doesn’t matter if he’s busking at a Seattle market (happened a few years ago). They just love music.
