I do not call this a cover song. It is an experience and stands on its own merit. Cover or not. Does t matter i. It is its own power and emotion. If you don't get chills, or emotional or tears then there is something seriously wrong with you. You can analyze this song...but don't over analyze. Feel it, was it over you. Some " understand" the song ..but not emersing yourself in it. Shame if you miss out on this experience.

Loved the original, but this is one of the few covers where it is so powerful that I can't really consider it a cover anymore. So dramatic - well done! I also appreciate the break down and watching Klown learn about the song while sharing his personal philosophy concerning the topic. I think there is a healthy balance between being free and able to express ourselves along with having the ability to reflect and recover from the amount of cacophony we are exposed to both internally and externally as well. The intended meaning of the lyrics at the time of writing can be adapted to many circumstances, and that is why songs like this maintain relevance over time. ❤

You can also see David and Disturbed sing "The Sound of Silence" live performance on Conan NOTE: David Draiman had a lesion on his vocal cords and was in an extreme amount of pain and almost didn't perform for the Conan live performance, and I heard he was not pleased with his performance. Being the perfectionist that he is, I can understand why he felt that way. However, the production as a whole was amazing, and his performance was EXCEPTIONAL! I loved it. Love this cover by Disturbed, the Simon&Garfunkel original version was a little too "happy" (in my opinion) 🤷🏻‍♀️ And as Geoff (Castellucci) covered it, I was really afraid, but he did it so different and as always with so much emotion, that it's right next to Disturbed version on 1st place for me ❤
