I love my KLX. You are so lucky to have riding at your fingertips and all those different bikes to ride.

I was blessed to grow up in an area where could always hop on our bikes & ride right from the house, although with land development, our riding area has become considerably smaller.

Hello. Watching some more CRF330L videos and Iv’e had a 18 WR250R and I just picked up 21 CRF300l both have low miles. I sold the WR 2 years ago due to the horrid vibrations. The CRF300lL was a wow price. I will be using it for logging roads and to get to the trails or hanging of the back of the Mercedes Sprinter for traveling fun. I’ll have to see if I need to upgrade the shocks. Im 230 and 6ft with a 34in inseam. Looking forward to a smooth running trail bike for weekend get aways. Around Bend Oregon out on 2 wheels.

Enjoy the bike! Appreciate the comment!

Suspension is everything. You can have a motor that runs excellent, but if the rear tire is not in contact with the ground at all times, then the performance from the motor is being wasted. Not too mention it’s harder to control a bike that’s constantly trying to buck you off. Cool comparison. They’re both great bikes, once they are set up for the rider.

Which one gives you the most driving pleasure?
@kcoutside71434 ай бұрын
KLX is more pleasurable off road. The CRF is more pleasurable on road.

What about the brakes ? Again about even ?
@kcoutside71438 күн бұрын
Braking is basically dead even.

Maybe you can get Carson Brown out to give them a go ....seems like you are short shifting the kawi , no ? Does it just stop pulling on top?
@kcoutside71438 күн бұрын
the Kawi pulls more at higher rpm, the Honda is better lower rpm.

I put in a comment and question on your Legends pants review. Could you let me know what you think? I think this is the most recent post, so I'm posting here also.

My Forma boots were okay on all of my bikes, but i did have to lengthen the shift lever on my KLR 3/4” for my Gaerne Endurance off road boots.

Did you run the Drz too?
@kcoutside71434 ай бұрын
I had a DRZ in my garage from 2002 until 2020, 3 of them, a 2002, 2006. & last one was a 2014. I love them, now I’m holding out until Suzuki updates them(probably never) lol! I did a full build on KZbin on the 2014.

@@kcoutside7143 I was waiting for an update too but ended up buying one anyway. I wanted the camo Klx but no one had it. Is the Klx any better on the road? 60 mph and up gearing wise?
@kcoutside71434 ай бұрын
@@jimperry4420 the klx has more pulling power in 6th gear on long asphalt steep grades. The honda 6th is almost like an overdrive for highway cruising.

So if I understand correctly, you put a RaceTech spring on the stock garbage shock? The problem is the valving and complete lack of any rebound dampening. A stiffer spring is just going to amplify that problem. You're also exacerbating a factory lean condition by adding a freeflowing exhaust with no fuel bump. You're literally doing it all wrong.
@aaronthomson36294 ай бұрын
Doing it all wrong? I'm sure it was more to compare how most guys would run machine. Sprung for their weight. Obviously the crf can be improved but most aren't doing to drop money on the suspension. It gives a better idea of each with standard mods. I have klx but have ridden rally many times and wife has cb300. I prefer honda motor but if not doing aftermarket suspension just respring klx has advantage. New shock and valving would have the crf as the winner but a higher price tag than the comparison by good margin

@@aaronthomson3629 you have reading comprehension issues? I'm not gonna say it again or hold your hand through English.

I added a k-tech rear shock to my bike as it was the cheapest option for a full rear upgrade. Completely transformed the bike honestly and am so much more confident riding it off road. The stock suspension just feels stupid, its disappointing that honda ships them out that way. Gives the bike a bad name.

With secondary throttle plate removed klx would have better bottom end than crf. $0 cost mod.
@kcoutside71434 ай бұрын
I looked into that , a couple local guys have done, they said it’s mostly mid to upper rpm’s when the noticeable difference kicks in, so I have attempted it, maybe on the ‘24 I’ll try it.
