I hope it is in the contract that they do not own the land until construction goals are accomplished. The last thing downtown needs is a group acquiring all of that prime real estate and then holding it until they can make a nice profit for doing nothing.

To make this work, it has to be a holistic approach, which has to include keeping the public and workers safe. I avoid STL events due to the crime. When we do visit, we are more likely to drive a bit closer to downtown, and then Uber in and out. Sad that it has gotten to this. But not worth the risk and potential damages to visit STL.

THE DEVELOPERS ARE TRULY QUIXOTIC PERSONALITIES ! ANY THING IN SAINT LOUIS WILL FAIL, IF CRIME, LOITERING, AND HOMELESSNESS ARE NOT FIRST ADDRESSED AGRESSIVELY !

What does it mean to call someone quixotic? foolishly impractical quix·ot·ic kwik-ˈsä-tik. : foolishly impractical especially in the pursuit of ideals. especially : marked by rash lofty romantic ideas or extravagantly chivalrous action.Oct 31, 2022 (Had to look that up)

Well.... Yeah it's kinda true... Look at Chicago and how businesses are leaving because of crime. St Louis sucks but I appreciate people trying to fix my city.

@@Shadow-hv2vp 😩" Crime and business exoduses aren't only happening in Chicago and St. Louis. Such is happening nationwide in large,, mid-sized, and small cities even within suburban communities and rural areas. Neither is one issue the direct cause of the other. Several of (Illinois) my state's businesses have closed or relocated primarily due to high taxation, regulations, and the lingering COVID-19 economic impact than actual ' crime ' . Ironically, the current Work-from-Home ' new normal ' has significantly reduced many urban establishments direct patronage than any other issues. Meanwhile, our national civic problems will continue so long as ' We the People ' continue scapegoating and fleeing rather than resolving them. "

The way to fight crime long term is to invest in areas, not leave them to rot by withholding development

Not a word in regard for the people of Saint Louis. These companies will build nothing for us but more of what already exists here.

The source of income for these big-talk youngsters? If they genuinely know anything about downtown StL, they'd know they must first invest in a magical security plan to deal with the crime. Are any of these teen developers related to Kroenke?

Fix anything in ST.LOUIS, I am so happy to be so far away from where I was born in 1974, the 1900s, I grew up and went to school with Wesley Bell. SO GLAD ME AND HIM COOL, BUT NAH BRA, I AM TOO BRA GLAD I LEFT STL.

Lol this has failure written all over it. No one that's actually from the St. Louis area wants anything to do with downtown, other than showing up for an occasional cardinals game and then running back to the county as fast as they can.

Well, A lot of people in the St. Louis metro do not look at any land in the city as valuable. Otherwise North STL would not have languished for 60 years. I wish them luck and it is interesting to have an industrial component.

I live downtown. I get very tired of people saying things when they have no idea what they are talking about. It's safer and nicer in the city and downtown particularly, than the SUV, Truck infested traffic nightmare that is most of St Louis County and St Charles County. Stay in St Charles and leave us alone.

This will never happen. None of the people on this project will ever admit or tell you why this will never work. Go into downtown St. Louis for 5 minutes look around and you will immediately see why it will turn to shit within 5 years. You need motivated people proud of where they live to keep it looking good.
