Knee review for double amputees

Rheo knee default mode is free swing, while Genium goes into stance mode. When wearing the Rheo knee I am faster 720m in 6 minutes, while wearing the Genium 340m in 6 minutes. Physiotherapist repeated the gate 4 x time to make sure the number are correct. When using the Mauch knee 340m in 6 minutes

Is that the smart knee? Cause mine looks like that. I'm bilateral above the knee amputation.. We are going with stubbies. But I can add the height later.. I really like the boots.. Probably way out of my price range.. It never hits just to ask??? Maybe Jim set me up on a payment plan! Lol. He's the one making my right prosthetic.. I have the left but it was up in my business. So he trimmed off some... We'll have to see when he makes my new one? You make that look easy.. But that took some hard work. Give yourself a huge Pat on the back.. You deserve that and more. Take care of you..

Thank you Teresa, for your comment. And keep pushing the limit with the stubbie legs, they are great exercise also when you step up on long legs. I still use stubbies quite a lot.

Did you notice a difference in how your hips felt between all of these? Was one better or worse than the others? Also, do you prefer your implants or your sleeve? I guess, is there a difference you prefer, your left leg or right when it comes to these prosthetics?

Hi TheMRKristens! The c-leg and Rheo feet cutie similar in the hips and Genium was smoother for the hips. But in my implant, I could feel a stronger bending force with the Genium probably due to the yielding function.

My Genium buzzing prosthetist said out of warranty another 50k for Genium knee. I asked couldn’t they repair the Genium Otto Bock said NO

Hi Christopher, your walking with the genium looks quite good. I think it's good that you overcame the first feeling of it being weird. The "Hit" you are experiencing with the Rheo Knee is called "terminal impact". I have not fitted a rheo knee yet, but I thought something like the "terminal impact" should be adjustable in the software. I know that the manufacturer of the Genium only gives warranty on their knees if you use their prosthetic feet with it. What did your prosthesist say to using a different foot? The dynamics of the foot you are using look good though. I will go and check them out now =)

I just watched your other video about the xtend foot and found out it is your own product. That explains of course how you came to using it =)

Hi Felix! The foot works fine with the Genium, c-leg and other knees as it's tested according to the same standard testing. Yes, I’m the father of the Xtend Foot due to that non-other foot helped me to be stable when I was walking outdoor. Are you an Prosthetist and witch country do you live in? Please feel free to test it for Prosthetist we have 30 days of free trial on every foot.

I'm certainly don't doubt that your foot works well with otto bock's microprocessor controlled knees, I was just talking about the bureaucratic issue of insurance if the manufactuer doesn't give warranty for all foot knee combinations. I am studying Healtcare Technology (especially Prosthetics and Orthotics) and I will be a prosthetist when I finish my Bachelor this year. I will ask my patient if he would like a foot with medio-lateral flexibility Did you ever try any feet from Endolite? I am also gonna write you on facebook. It is more convenient
