KNEE ULTRASOUND (PART 3/4): LATERAL SIDE

This is the third video of the knee anatomy & ultrasound series. In this video we will discuss the assesment of the lalteral side of the knee, paying attention specially to the lateral collateral ligament, distal biceps femoris tendon an iliotibial band. Lately in research its stated that ITB sndrome pain comes not from bursa, but underlying fat pad.

You´re right, there is no real bursa in this location. it´s oedema below the ITB tissue (bursa like) and in chronic cases accompanied with a thickening in the ITB itself
