Thank you Fred Katz for stating what most fans either forgot or failed to realize, Julius was playing amazingly up until he got injured. This team with him is a contender.

How much of a contender can they be with a guy whose 3pt% is in the 30s?

@@jefftist9625Donte 40% from 3, JB 39% from 3, OG,40% from 3! Gawd Damn! Everyone on the team don’t have to shoot 3’s! 3’s can become fools gold in the playoffs. Randle draws fouls playing bully ball. You need players that can score in the paint and draw the double team! That’s why Brunson’s catch and shoot 3 point percentage was a career high for him this year with Randle in the line up. Check the receipts !

@@jefftist9625 he doesn’t have to have a high 3 point percentage when he’s a matchup nightmare that demands a double team. Draw the double and find the open shooter. At any given time he’ll be on the floor with at minimum 2 players that make the 3 at a high clip. I hope my answer helped you a little.

Thank you for bringing up positives about Julius. It’s so annoying how people don’t see that he’s a big asset to the team and how he makes it easy for Jalen on the floor.

This is why we love KFTV!! It's great to see KFTV continue to grow but the playoffs brings out a bunch of reactionary fans. Now that we're unfortunately in the offseason, we get great content like this & less moronic comments by the casual fan.

I'll voice an opinion about Randle since you all said you don't understand fans who don't want Randle on the team. This opinion might not be popular, but it's still worth considering. Randle has a place on this team as a skilled player. I won't argue against that. I can get past his shortcomings on defense and that he sometimes misses clutch shots. My issues with Randle are more about his inability to be a great team leader and his failure to embody the Knicks' team culture, which is the essence of the team's success. A player of Randle's caliber must be a strong player AND a great leader. A great leader is someone who not only performs well (stat-wise) but also inspires his teammates and embodies the team's cultural identity. Randle has proven to be a poor leader for the Knicks and does not represent the team's identity. There are numerous examples, but to name a few, look at the times he cried about a call and wouldn't stop arguing with officials, the time he barked at Quickly on the court when Quickly was trying to calm him down, and the time he gave a thumbs down to Knicks fans. This type of behavior demoralizes the team and the fans, and it has been so common over the past few years that he's become a borderline toxic influence on the team. This type of behavior is also not in line with the cultural identity of the Knicks, who are known for their unlimited fighting spirit, grit, determination, and willingness to find a way to win. Leaders establish a cultural identity; without it, a team has nothing to rally behind to play their best in a season's inevitably difficult and decisive moments. In the short time Randle has been gone, ask yourself if the Knicks have shown unlimited fighting spirit, grit, determination, and willingness to find a way to win just about every second of every game. Look at how the team has stepped up and performed above and beyond their abilities. Mentally, the team had seemingly zero friction; they just wanted to win, and you could see that in how they played. Even when they were not winning, their attitudes were always about trying, not crying. The team has transformed into something different now, and not only is this transformation in line with the culture the Knicks are known for, but it is also resulting in some great successes. So Randle may have the hard skills and stats the team needs, but we are getting that along with attitudes and behaviors that negatively affect the entire team and their ability to play at their peak levels. So my main question about Randle is, will he be able to gel with the way the Knicks are developing as a team now? Is he going to be comfortable with being more of a role player, and is he going to be able to adapt to the way the team has been transforming without him? I'm hopeful it will work out, but I'm watching closely.

As most Knicks fans I become delusional with my personal takes on the Knicks…Fred kind of reels everything back with his reasonable perspective takes on everything Knicks. I was borderline with Knicks signing OG to big money 💰 OG now ALL IN with giving him the bag

I dont mimd Randle choking in playoff. Starks choked in game 7, but he is still my fav Knick of all time. The thing I cannot handle is players that quits in the middle of the game. Watching Randle standing around on defense, sulking when thinga are not going his way, and quitting when things gets tough, that makes him player that i cannot root for. I want a team that I can root for even when they are losing. Team i cam be proud of even when they lose, because i know they gave their all, and that was the result. Current Knicks minus Randle is just that. Well not too sure about OG yet, but the rest oozes with that hard working tough mindset. Odd man out is Randle.

And you're doing your thing down there and the rest of thank you. I'm very much. Man, I have something to do after. The next season is over by listening to you. You know, you're always got something ongoing on. You know, I think CP. I think you should have something for the fans over the summer and bring some of the players then to give out autographs inside.Think you could pull that off sleepy

Knicks get Mikal Bridges, Nick Richards Hornets get Mitch Robinson, Ben Simmons, 3-1st from Knicks Nets get Miles Bridges, Bojan Bogdanovic, Davis Bertans, 2-1st from Knicks Knicks complete their Nova Knicks, would free cap space to resign IHart, and get a great back up big on a team friendly deal. Hornets get a top 10 center (when healthy) which they sorely lack and 2-1st. I’m not sure if Miles wants to stay in Charlotte, so at least the Hornets would get some value back. Nets get Miles Bridges in a sign & trade, he is 2 years younger than Mikal, has high upside, and better than Jalen Green (who Rockets proposed in a trade with Bk). They’d also rid themselves of Ben Simmons and waive Bogi and Bertans, freeing up nearly $30m in cap space, which they’ll need to avoid the luxury tax, after resigning Claxton and Cam Thomas. Most importantly, they’d get at least 3-1st round picks from the Knicks. Thoughts?

Randle would've made an all NBA team this year if not for his injury. Out of the top 15 (minus Brunson), who would you trade for that's potentially available? And what other all-star that's out there better than Randle? And the player has to be a Thibbs type player.

CP, in your personal opinion, do you want to see the Knicks run it back healthy with Julius and see if they can reach the NBA Finals and win a title meaning would you give this team a chance to compete or would you like them to go for a co-star to pair with Brunson?

Until we see it, I don’t think we can even quantify how much an impact a healthy roster will have on everyone. Julius and Jalen run the paint let’s OG sit in the corner again. Give OG whatever he wants our window is now. Knicks need to walk away from the draft with Kevin McCullar jr he would be a perfect backup wing for us plays defense too. Also I used to be against randle, but if you’re really watching after OG came here it was a new Julius. Sitting out watching this team make the playoff push they did. I know Julius wants to contribute more than ever.

The problem with Randle is he hasn’t proven to be close to a “bonafide playoff performer” whereas instead he’s been horrific in his 1st two playoffs. He had played amazing before though and gagged in playoffs. Regular season doesn’t always translate to Playoffs. No doubt he would help them you’d think, but you can’t ignore how horrific he was in his first 2 playoffs (34/28 splits…38.7% from 2 and 28% from 2 and nearly 4 TPG with 2 more turnovers then assists). Randle 23, 10, 5 on 45/35 splits in regular season 2020-21 to 23-24 (only 3.2 tpg) vs playoffs 17, 9, 4 on 34/28 splits (3.9 TPG vs 3.7 APG). I know he’s older and many Knicks fans may not be fans of LeBron bc he spurned them in 2010/14/18, but I’d personally trust him WAY more in the Playoffs! LeBron even this last Playoffs was one of best players in NBA. Only Jokic & Bron this playoffs averaged at least a 20 Gamescore and 10+ BPM. If you change that to 8+ BPM players it only adds SGA Ant Embiid. I’d personally rather have LeBron the next 2-3yrs in postseason than Randle. If Randle hadn’t been historically inefficient/bad in his first 2 playoffs diff story, but he was objectively bad. Does it mean he will always be bad? No, but it also can’t be ignored. Bron just averaged 28, 9, 7, 3.4 stocks (2.4 spg most in playoffs) on 57/39/74 vs Nuggets. He also was top3 in 4th quarter scoring and top5 in clutch time. If Rui & D-Lo (outside of 2 games)not horrid they either win that series or take them 7. They were up 70% or that series and 9-22 points in 5/5 games. Ham is not the coach Thibs is either and Knicks have a better FO. They have a much better defensive team if they can bring everyone back and 3P shooting. Bron would be super motivated to win title for Knicks too bc while most are in their trenches of who is GOAT between MJ & him, if he helps lead NEW YORK KNICKS to their first title since 1973 that is a feather in his GOAT argument. I’m surprised it’s not talked about more.

You know, but next year we will be back the vocabulary. Noble boy, sweet, you'll be filling over boys. We'll be back. Healthy juice healthy match helped the old g. We could do some work next year plus we have a they pick up, but I'm thinking with b**** They need to think about Mitch. Get somebody that's gonna be there. Cause every year, Mitch is hurt around the same time. Man every year we don't need that CP. If we don't need that but mitch could stay healthy then but every year he's hurt man the same time every year
