Josh, Sam is a master knife maker. He definitely tempers his blades. His Damascus is incredible. My dad is friends with him and we have dozens of his knives and tomahawks. You will have a hard time finding a craftsman like him anywhere. Love his work

Seems whenever we see an older manual worker with skills that takes years to learn they never seem too have an apprentice. The passing down of knowledge is the most satisfying job anyone can do. Knowing your work will live on makes getting your hands dirty everyday worth doing.

I've owned a couple of his knives and currently own one of his big bowies. You can see the temper line he does. He differentialy hardens/tempers the knives he does so you have a softer spine/handle and harder edge. Trust me his knives are absolutely first rate tools and show a great degree of skill. His bowie I have might be the nicest bowie I've ever owned bar none. thanks PS next to get one of his hunters again to use an edc

I was wondering when he was going to tempering the blade! That seems to be left out of videos the most. I was impressed by the no electricity shop. That is cool.

Wish I could say the same. The whole sqaud trespass like crazy and violate every hunting trapping law there is. That's putting it nicely.
