Not hard to get into. Just need a handful of tools. Mostly affordable. Spend good money on a versatile belt sander, the rest.... doesn't need to be anything fancy. flat stock for knives is dirt cheap.

Gets me everytime I smith copper. Copper basically loses all its beautiful characteristics as soon as you warm it up. So you are basically smithing something that has the look of really crappy steel. But once you are finished and polish everything up the beauty instantly comes back.

While I'm not overly keen on the amount of brass that was used (just my opinion), I can honestly say it came out pretty damn good. The spine of the blade could have used a bit of a clean up though, it looks a tad rough.

It's a wall hanger as they say. Really unique and cool piece of art but not practical as a knife. I do like seeing how others create though. It's more interesting to me watching how his brain comes up with work arounds and changes in the design. Plus I would have never thought of having marble in a knife.

Lovely knife and the marble inset brass is impressive, the ONLY think I would personally do differently, is the finish on the rest of the blade, where I'd smooth and polish them, but thats a personal preference :) well done!
