KNIFE MAKING / CHOPPING KNIFE 수제칼 만들기

Another Japanese Chef's knife! This shape is inspired by Nakiri knives typical Japanese-style vegetable knife but with a western full tang construction and a general utility bevel geometry.
The steel is 440 C Stainless steel. The handle is made of zelkova wood and brass, polycarbonate liners.
The pins are all brass.

Which kind of sand paper do you use in sand paper grinder becoz when i try it sand paper worn out.

The belt grinder...5X1220mm...The short sappo has the disadvantage of being easily worn out...But the price is cheaper than 5X2100mm, so you can change it often, so you can do clean work. Use common metal belt sandpaper.

I feel like for a good heavty chopper a soft spine would have been a good move. the blade and tang almost alltheway through had been heated evenly when some clay to create hamon would have added to the longevity of this item and allowed the use of a mallet on the spine of the blade to force chopping through harder stuff possible without breakage.
