I just today,finished a Mountain Man style knife for myself for the upcoming Rendezvous later this month! It's clunky looking as they were back in the 1800s! It has nice Tiger Maple handle scales finishedout with aquafortis and heat to bring out the grain of the striped wood! It isn't as nice as I'd hoped it would be but, it isn't bad, either! Since it's for me, I left it with a satin finish with a very few forge markings!
