knife making: Making Butterfly /Balisong Knife

Hi Guys,
in this video we are making Balisong knife, or if you prefer more: Batterfly knife!
This kind of knives are complicated- it was a great challenge because of the combining lot of different method and putting it to one unique knife.
The handle is soldered sandblasted brass (looks amazing) and rest of the knife (blade, plates) are made from high polished high carbon steel.

I’ve done a balisong knife before so I know how complicated they are to build! Your came out beautiful! My only concern is that it’s a dagger, so doesn’t make that hard to operate without cutting yourself? All the balisong knives I’ve seen are single edge so you can spin and operate them more safely. A thought for next time.

Thanks a lot for kind words! Definitely you are right, it's not safe at all- did you noticed I have bandage on my hand at the end of the video... don't ask :P.. about what you said: This knife is super heavy, so operating is dificult and I would say... painful (ignore the sharp edge)- the handle is like a small hammer for your fingers... so yes, there is few things to improve. thanks a lot for your suggestion- definitely something to concider next time:)

Thanks Maciek!! Short sword is on my list :). The "Fantasy Dagger" is the preparation project :). And believe me, you will be surprised what I'm going to make :)

@@DBCraftWorld I only noticed it because I'd have probably done the same thing LOL Ozzy is a good name for me. It was nickname all through high school. Besides I could be a god killing brute if I wanted to......I just choose not to 😅 I'm a father myself, so in the last God of War game I can empathize with him and his relationship with his son.

@@DBCraftWorld My pleasure! Um, the only "realistic" weapons are the Sword of Artemis (which isn't exactly easy to duplicate) and maybe the Claws of Hades. The rest are obnoxiously huge or ornate, because he is strong enough to use them. Thanks for the welcome!

I had a crazy idea while ago to make "realstic" interpretation of weapon from game, but it must wait- the effort and time needed to make it would be also obnoxiously huge. But Ozzy, I can assure you, that if you be patient, you will see this project on my channel :)
