Jdavis882 - Knife Sharpening and Reviews

Күн бұрын

Many people have asked me how to get a knife from me. Best way to ask about that is to email me:
john@theartofsharp.org
Thanks to my mentor for both teaching me what to do and being patient enough to let me come over and work whenever I want to. A good teacher is more valuable than you can imagine!

Hi John, And thank you to the chap speaking, thank you very much. Just a note as a suggestion for you to get some finger stools, or stalls. Simple rubber one found in the paper and print finishing, and the others which are make in lots of sizes from leather that with prevent your fingers and or thumbs burning! Just a thought

That is a great idea, but I rely on my fingers to tell me how cool the blade is. For pre-HT that is an excellent idea, but post heat treat I have to be VERY careful about how hot the blade gets. My fingers are the best way to make sure that I don't get the blade too hot. Thanks for watching and supporting me!

I really just take it slow and pay close attention to what is happening on each pass. That way if I see something I don't like I can correct it. I'm still very, very much a beginner, but I'd be happy to help in any way I can.
