Thank god no one had one of these in the prison I worked at , seen plenty of toothbrush shivs , but only one time did we find a metal shiv. Brings back chills to me.....

@@JumboRadish yeah it was a screw driver , stolen from maintenance and was filed down on the concrete in the inmates room for months till it was very flat and very sharp. Years after I left there , we had three correctional officers get attacked , all three killed , two of the three were covered head to toe in plastic wrap , covered in a flammable oil , and set on fire. One of them I worked with and knew personally. So sad what happened but so glad I left that place. Dangerous damn job.

If the tempering was done right that would be the perfect tool to use in a very specific occupation. It's thin enough to slip between the ribs and long enough to go in and right through the lung. I think "shiv" is under selling it. Nice job.

better to go into the base of the skull at a 45 degree angle. most knives are too wide to make it through the hole but if you can its instant death. keeps guards from warning others

I made one with the steel guide rack from an old German typewriter. The steel is super hard and won't bend. I use the angle grinder with a lot of quenching and finished with arkansas stones

I loved all forms of weapons since I was a kid. I started making custom handles for Katanas in high school, then I realized that I could make more than just the handles and began making whole swords and knives.

Man, I'd so love to make a mod for Blade and Sorcery VR with this beauty. But 3D modeling and textures and all of that are not something i would count to my skills. This would be so perfect for teh new stealth mechanic that was added to the game. I am fairly sure that if i had models and textures that work in unity, i could get this beauty into the game...

Shank is a verb. It means to stab someone with your shiv. The weapon is the shiv. Shaking is the act of using it.
