I would suggest one thing ; clean all the rust and dirt off the steel first with the sanding belt, or even just rubbing it on the floor, before using it on your surface grinder. Your precision grinding wheel will thank you.

okay Koss I challenge you to make a knife... but only using scrap material from previous knife builds, I would prefer if you don't do canister Damascus, just so it will make the challenge harder, but you may do as you please if it becomes to hard good luck :)

This folks, is a true master at work. I'd bet that he's got at least 20 years of bladesmithing under his belt. If not that than he was trained by one of the best. I'd like to know how long it took you to prepare all your materials vs. how long it took to form the final product.

A little bit of texture on the nub would be great since the locking mechanism requires the nub to be screwed down
