She’s loving that one. Those SBR’s are almost TOO strong a spring, they will jump out of your hand if you aren’t careful. Prefer them like that though honestly, better than too light a deployment

I just got one of those Shot Show Bailouts, and it's super stiff too. I added oil to the pivot, and have been trying to break it in, but it's still too stiff. I have 2 other Bailouts that are perfectly smooth so this one is a disappointment. Thinking next step is to try loosening the pivot.

Maybe they would, however my one time encounter with sending my Osborne in for new springs would say don’t bother. Or at least try taking it apart and lube it and make sure it’s properly assembled. My Osborne came back with crappy action. But I was able to lube and reassemble and get it to where it should be

We just haven’t had a bad experience with Benchmade knives that some are saying. Other than this brand new model being a bit too tight in the deployment/retraction. Our oldest Benchmade is a 940 Limited red model that’s possibly 20 years old. We’ve had it for a decade and even it has been fantastic

It’s not the spring, the axis lock is fine. It’s most likely the tolerances between the blade/pivot are just the tiniest bit tight.

That all ti bailout is going to be ungodly expensive. They WERE saying $600 msrp which even at $550 is too much. Especially with flytanium arcade it now. The bugout/bailout series is being made obsolete by hogue and flytanium now. $200 for what flytanium is giving you blows benchmade away.

It’s possible they would. Years ago we were told not to film any guns. This time around we just went to the office, said we want to film a knife table, we won’t show guns, is that ok? They said yes obviously. But it’s possible they would allow guns to be filmed, it’s been years since we were told that so who knows

The coolest firearms we saw were at a gun support table, getting signatures for a local politician. At their table the had a military 50 cal BMG rifle with a massive scope. They had the real UZU full auto with something like a 45 round mag that the guy said would be depleted in 2.5 seconds!! They had some other cool stuff but those were the highlights from the weekend 😆 😆

The pivot and/or stop pin screws are too tight.

If it is that simple, we’ll take care of it. Afraid it might be a tolerance issue with the blade/pivot and that would be more difficult. If that is the case, loosening the pivot screw could result in blade play. Plus, we kind of want to send it back and see how they deal with it 😆 😆

Why do you avoid showing the guns? There are plenty gun channels on KZbin, and yes I realize that your channel is not one of them, I’m just curious to know if there is some other specific reason you choose not to show them? I read a KZbin post that stated as long as they aren’t showcased in live videos, it’s perfectly acceptable. There was some other stuff said too, but nothing significant to having them in a recoded video.

They have told us in the past not to film guns. It’s possible they would allow it now but we didn’t check. It was just easier to let them know we wouldn’t be filming guns. I think they are weary of people potentially filming and using the footage like “look at all the guns being sold locally! This is the problem of (insert politician name) and if it were up to (our politician) we wouldn’t have this. Being filmed as anti-gun, using using the footage in a negative way. We definitely have the anti gun crowd in our city as well.

(unfortunately) Say we title the video something like “Indianapolis Gun Show! Look at all these shiny guns in our city!” It could get potentially hundreds of thousands of views and it might get just as much negative attention as it would positive. Something we’re just not into getting involved with. A few comments like yours, understandable, may even have prompted us to do a video update, so everyone knows, where we stand on guns 👍👍

You did bring up some valid points here that I didn’t even consider, but now I know! Like I said earlier, I was really just curious, and the reason for that is because I have been considering possibly posting some of my outdoor activities/content., I do a lot of fishing and hunting, and the chances of me talking about guns, and possibly even showing a few here and there on my channel, is highly likely, and so I was really just trying to make sure that I wasn’t missing something... As I wil continue to educate myself on the whole topic of firearms and how it pertains to KZbin. I appreciate it!

Re the Narrows; I've handled a few and I personally still don't see any justification for their price. Even the Anthem wasn't really worth their original asking price, and I find that a better knife than the Narrows (hence why I own an Anthem, even though it was overpriced. 😅). I'm not American so I don't have the patriotism bias, and I feel that most of Benchmade's products are priced about 10% over their worth. Just my opinion.
