Unbenounced to budget knife fans, Smith's, known mostly for their sharpening stones has three knives. Seen them at my local farm and home store. NOT to be confused with Smith and Wesson. Idea for a video? Haven't seen a single KZbin video about them. You two are the king and queen of box store knife reviews. Love them. 👍

I used to deliver to Menards all over the midwest. While you two were perusing the cutlery, I heard that little Menards jingle they play over and over on the sound system, and had flashbacks 😳. Anyhow...the camping section also has gerber hatchets and machetes and whatnot, in some locations.

I like my Maverick and Sandstorm. The closest Menards to me is in Joplin, MO. They don’t have quite the same selection as yours. Glad you are feeling/doing better. Take care.

I have a Menard's about 5-6 miles away & haven't shopped their knives for a while. They used to stock CRKT as well as the Vic-Nox & others. Master Force is also their brand. LMAO @ the end shot!!! 😄😆😂🤣

There is no better feeling then leaving the store with a new blade in your pocket. Your just dyeing to get to the car to open that sweet blister pack. You crack her open and play with it for a few minutes. You like it so you decide to do the right thing and go back inside to pay for it...🙂

You're correct about 7CR steel, butter knife steel, and cheap butter knives. Stopped buying Gerber years ago because of their choice of steel. 8CR13MOV is the lowest grade I will buy, and it has to be aces on design. 440 what? A,B, or C? 420HC is in the same category as 8CR13MOV in my mind. I don't know where Buck is heading, but it might be the bilge.

yep, many times they only list it as 440, and don’t specify the specific formula 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♀️

7cr17mov has more edge retention than 8cr , 8cr has more toughness 7cr17mov is modded 440a .
