It's crazy that the CJRB knife with S90V is $15 more than the demco with plastic scales and D2 steel!

The shark lock is really amazing. I’ve really beaten the crap out of my 20cv, 3v and k110 variants. I’ve batoned, chopped, done some prying of bark and used the tip to do some drilling. The lock doesn’t care what you do, it never comes loose or has any play. I’d agree they are overpriced but not so much when you get to higher grade steels. The aftermarket is very good too. I’ve got a set of titanium scales, and a set of aluminum and a micarta set, plus I’ve upgraded the hardware for pretty cheap to titanium. If you haven’t had the chance to handle one I think you’ll see what the fuss is about after you do.

I picked up a skeletonized wharncliffe MKM Makro a while back. I cut a maple piece of maple and fit it into the handle opening. It makes for a lower profile grip that works well. No screws needed either. Also made a Kydex sheath. Great steel and knife.

Grab up an Arctic Storm Hectare if you have small fingers and like the less-tough more-hard steels. Bout the cheapest s90v you're gonna get and my handle came with beautifully-even FatCarbon. If you can get your finger into the compromised flick hole area it counts as a plumb Bugout destroyer, fabulous carry

I have a couple of these - the MKM Makro is a great pocket knife - mine is in carbon fiber but not the KC exclusive version. Feels great in the hand and the sheath, once it loosens up, works very well. I also have the Boker Kwaiken Air Mini Exclusive. I really love the looks and the upgraded blade steel. Unfortunately, the flipper tab is very iffy. It'll open with no problem a few times, then jam up and be next to impossible to open. I've oiled it and loosened the pivot screw, but the issue remains, and I've read other reviewers state the same. YMMV.

In the same spirit of this gift guide video, I've been wanting to gift my wife (and myself) new kitchen knives. I like the idea of buying 3-4 knives from different brands that will do almost everything in the kitchen (chef's knife ~8", santoko or small chef's knife ~5", 3-4" pairing knife, and long serrated knife). I also really like some of the fixed blades I've seen this year... Would you recommend any fixed blades for kitchen duty?? Since I'm only looking to buy a few knives, I'm ok with spending good money on good knives.

What I don’t understand is that no companies let you break up payments in a way so that even if you have poor credit, you could still buy stuff and what they could do is they could penalize you for half the cost or a quarter of the cost if you don’t end up paying the whole thing off and then what they could do is not send you the item until you pay the whole thing? So it’s like layaway. Personally, my credit stinks and the thing is when your credit stinks chances are you probably don’t have a great job or it’s hard to get extra spending cash for stuff like knives. But if you could reasonably spend like 25 bucks a week or if you’re really poor 25 bucks a month For like $100 knife and then at the end of four months after you send the last payment they can send it. Nobody does that.Sezzle only works if you don’t have poor credit. Amazon should do that too. A lot of times they see something really nice that I want and and it would be great if I could just send $25 today and then you know like $25 next week or even next month and they should give you like six months to pay it off and if you don’t pay it off then they should at least charge you the amount of profit they’re making off of the item. Like say they get a knife and they pay $20 each for the knife and every time they sell a knife they make $20 if you don’t make your payments in time like at the end of six monthsthey could either give you the option to send you back whatever you paid over it back to your credit card all while keeping what they would’ve profited off the knife anyway. This way they might even be able to profit off a knife twice.😊 so if you paid like $25 and then you ended up getting arrested and you went to jail for five years and you couldn’t make another payment they would still get to keep the $25 and the knife😂 and the thing is if there was another company like Sezzle that was willing to do something like that what they could do since they’re providing the service as they could keep the first five dollars because it’s not gonna hurt the company selling the knife if the person forgets the payment or never pays for any more payments because they’re not losing money on the knife. The only thing that I can think of is like if it’s a really limited edition or something and they only have like five in stock then OK that’s a different story but if it’s something that in six months it’s not gonna matter cause they’re just gonna get more like say it’s a CiviV knife so it doesn’t really matter. It would just be a great way for people to get some grail knives that they’re never gonna have $500 for for instance.

No. You're not the only one that is a skeptic on multitools.. I've had about 4 or 5 leathermans. And I've got to say I'm all but almost done with them. To me leatherman really misses the mark above all on comfortably period! Blocky and uncomfortable...My go to is the bucktool 360. Comfortable in hand does the job. Sadly don't make anymore. Wish the would pick it back up and improve a touch.
