Thomas reminds me of myself. Drive vehicles that cost no more than a grand but always has a knife in pocket that ranges from $300 up to a grand. Lmfao. My daily carry Shiro Quantum cost more than the motor I replaced in my vehicle. Lol. I'd love to get my hands on the We/GTC collaboration but I dont like the heat treat on WE knives that utilizes 20CV. I broke the tip off of every single blade I've bought from WE that had 20CV steel and I dont use them nearly as hard as I use say my ZT0562 or my Kansept Bulldozer (both have 20CV and never had any problems). If the GTC collaboration was with another company (outside of China) and used a different blade steel I'd be all over it. Im not spending a penny on something made in a country that completely hates us and wants to eliminate us from the map. Needless to say, my hard earned money will never be spent on another Chinese made knife ever again.

Ultem is a plastic developed by GE plastics. My father actually worked on its development. I remember it has high strength and operates in high temperature environments. Makes sense to use it for handle scales material.

Dear DCA; Really sorry to hear that you have trigger finger in your pinky, it is a complete PITA. My right thumb is affected to a degree and oh wow doe it screw things up. Blades with cut outs or thumb-studs for the flick open? No more, or rather I have to manipulate my thumb till it works fluently enough for those opening options to be available. I hope yours resolves itself soon. Thanks for the great content

Tired of benchmade. They are 3x overpriced for flimsy plastic (toys). I wasted alot of money trying to lie to myself that they deserve the price. They don't and hogue is a waaay better option for what benchmade tries to do

Great work DCA and Thomas as always. Vosteed is doing an amazing job with those knives. Could you guys please bring back shipping to Canada with FedEx. So far I have had several packages held at customs when shipped through USPS. Apparently thumb studs make a knife a centrifugal knife. Is anyone else seeing the same thing?

Joker has been providing insane quality and materials for such a low price! being Made in Spain by hand and not made in China is a plus. fyi the leather sheaths are as good or better than any you will find on a knife 2x-3x the price

Don't grab the Typhoeus if you wanna keep your fingers. There is no lock except your palm. If you hit your opponent wrong in a SD situation you will regret it for sure...

23:04 Please, if you want to purchase this design for 'self defense' do research on how often knife defense, given similar facts but different tools, affects juries. I've only seen pics of ppl after knife fights, I'm pretty sure it's much easier to defend legal self defense with firearms. Also, check local laws on push dagger/knives.

It's too bad the CIVIVI Typhoeus can't fold completely. It's pretty difficult to recommend as an EDC if you can't just drop it in your pocket. I get it...the form factor makes that difficult. But who wants to walk around with a push dagger in a sheath. Extremely cool looking blade, though.

I understand Sencut is the bottom brand or the “economic” line. But they really need to step away from that garbage steel for a while. Plenty of things they can use and still keep it affordable. They make some great looking knives and screw it up with the steel time after time. It definitely keeps me from buying them.

I've been looking at the Benchmade Mini Adamas in Magnacut. However the Freek looks pretty nice. Similar price points. Would there be a better magnacut option than Benchmade in this price catagory for similar sized folders?

I would like to see knife manufacturers make more traditional styled modern knives that look more like quality and expensive than like dollar store or gas station knives. Heard a story of a guy coming home to find his mom scraping weeds from between the sidewalk sections using his high dollar knife. How is she to know it’s the high dollar knife if it looks just like a cheap one?

It’s an awesome knife from knky a couple years ago and still a great value if someone didn’t like button locks . I have the tanto and the action and cutting edge has been good . To be honest , tanto s and wharncliffs seen to work best for me personally .👍
