I appreciate a lot Condor use natural materials for their products, the new folders are a very good start and they have personality. I Love the Wood handles and the carbon steel. Very interesting the fixed blades too.

I love Joe Flowers..great guy, great sense of humor. Condor has so many great designs. I just wish they would learn how to sharpen a knife. Every one I've ever seen is not very sharp out of the box. I know how to sharpen, so not a deal breaker, but it's nice to not need to do it before you can even use it for the first time. Anyway, I always look forward to seeing what new stuff they come out with each year, and this year is not disappointing by any means. Great stuff!

Amen! How easy would it be for them to send them out with proper grind and edge. Especially at that new high prices for simple cheap steel. The last 3 or 4 knives I received required major reworking before they would cut which is unacceptable. I'm still waiting for them to announce that they will fix this problem before I buy another. Great designs though!

@@CommonCentsOutdoorsman I know, right? 1075 is their norm, but even 1095 is not hard to sharpen on a belt sander like they use. It especially pisses me off on big blades. I collect Bowie's, but I don't just collect, I also like to take them out and use them. Like I said, I can sharpen fine, but sharpening a 10" blade with a 6" stone is kind of a pia. I don''t use them enough that I need to constantly be sharpening them, but if it's a Condor, like their Plan A Bowie or Atrox..you can bet it'll need to be done before you can use it. Otherwise, if you use it as a heavy chopper like I normally do, better pack an overnight bag cuz you're gonna be there awhile, lol.

@@timbo4374 I actually like the edge that Condor puts on a fixed blade knife. I sharpen my EDC folders to a razor's edge but prefer my outdoor fixed blades to have more of a 'working edge' that doesn't roll or chip as easy. I can still feather and carve as well and don't have to maintain as often in the field. I mild stropping or a light DMT and I'm good to go.

Joe's designs are the best! Bought a Cavelore for looks but started using it and I think it's the first time I've truly loved a knife. Would love to see him somehow modernize a Macuahuitl, maybe as a large chopper or zombie remover!

Love condor knives they take a different tack making their knives look unique. knives from many brands, I can't tell one from the other.

Condor keeps bringing interesting designs to the table, good job! that limited edition looks like a mash between a Cattaraugus 225Q with a Ka-Bar 1217 blade, should have shown more of the box and sheath!

Anza did the “random” micarta handle first, the one on that Bowie. I don’t know if they did it first of all, but I got that handle on an Anza 8 or 9 months ago. I like it, but I’m calling Condor a copycat unless I hear something to the contrary.

I like that Bushglider. Not a fan of the jimping, though. The Krakatoa Folder has my interest. If you put a better wooden handle on it, I might bite. I love the Wayfinder, but not with the hole on the scales... Bow Drill should be optional.

Great interview, fairly boring products this year though. If condor can put some proof behind that lock and have nice thick bushcraft scales on a scandi folder we'd pay attention to them more I think. Also, no more 1075 for knives. It's really quite a terrible steel when 1095 is available.

Not sure what happened to Condor. They started out with high value, affordable stuff. They weren't the best quality but were big bang for the buck but for the past few years Condors have become more and more expensive while still being made with the same low cost steel. They put micarta handle on a machete and ask $80. Bs.
