This timeless tool is ready for new adventures.
From the trenches of WWI comes the Chogan™ Mattock, a tool purpose-built for portability. Based on the common digging tool used by British infantry, the head can be removed from the handle for compact storage in your vehicle, on a backpack, or in your tool shed. What’s more, that same handle is compatible with the tomahawk head from the Chogan™ T-Hawk, giving you the option to wield two tools with one handle for either more versatility or redundancy.

I had a similar tool in the Army. That might be good to put in the truck toolbox

Handy tool but at 80-90 bucks a tough sell I think. Run of the mill garden mattock will only cost 15-20 bucks, could probably get a whole pioneer kit of decent quality for the price.

I can testify this man knows how to make a sharp object or make a decent blunt weapon.

Whoah, groundbreaking design ha ha ha.... see what I did there? But seriously, hope this will be priced accordingly just a quick peek on A zon and you can find similar tools for 12-18$

as someone who uses a 5 lb and 1.5 lb mattock regularly in the yard and camping, the cheap stuff on Amazon is garbage. there is a reason you can find several sellers offering 4 packs for under $50. This tool is worth every penny.

@@aaron451 Hmm, so you think this made in Taiwan mattock is worth the 99$ plus 20$ for sheath? That is 8-10 times higher than similar products on Azon, and 3-4 times higher than local hardware store prices. Even the Fiskars IsoCore 1.5lb mattock, also made in Taiwan and a much more complex design is only 35$ Is the CRKT really that much better performance in regular ol 1055 carbon? Or is the price just to cover the brand name and "designers" cut? I do not own this, but every other CRKT hawk I do own arrived dull with a poorly fit handle to head requiring fitting and sharpening to cut wood. But hey its "Tennessee hickory" and comes in a nice box I suppose.

@@Scablands_Scavenger It ain't $100-120, it's about half that at 60 (80 w/sheath). If you wanna use a cheap trash tier tool, you do you, but hopefully you'll remember this topic of discussion when that $15-20 tool chips a big ol chunk off the adze edge or pick point.. can speak from experience, that's super annoying to deal with in the middle of a project, and worse if that shard goes into your leg or somethin

@@danielsterling4918 Cheap trash tier tool? what the CRKT made in taiwan or the other brand that is not over charging you for "tacticool".... oh wait "overlanding" label. All three of the CRKT hawks I own needed lots of work on the handles due to poor fitment and gaps at the head and were dull. Spare me the "trash talk"... If you want to overpay for a simple garden tool have at it, but don't act like this is some reinvention of a secret tool made of wonder steel. It is not. 1055 carbon steel, stamped out in Taiwan just like many others (cold steel, Fiskars etc). It is at best a lower mid level tool. By the way I did not see any videos of yours on your channel, care to upload one and show how nice the fit and finish is and how you use it? Would go a long way to supporting the argument. I have no problem saying CRKT makes a decent hawk, but they need work out of the box to be effective and are priced pretty high considering the user has to finish the job for them.
