If you lower the throat (top guide) of the saw it's rollers will stabilize the blade and it will make much smoother cuts. It's also much safer. Lower it to within a 1/16 of an inch of the surface of that G-10, and you'll be amazed at the difference.

Make sure to wear a respirator when cutting G10 with a bandsaw. That fine dust is very hazardous to your health. Thanks for the tip.

Nice. I have heard of carbide bandsaw blades for re-sawing hard or especially abrasive timber, like teak. I bet that it works very well on stabilised knife handle wood too.

Glad it helped. This blade is still sharp but has got a few cracks in the blade from work hardening but can be re welded. 👍

@@BenOrford I am busy trying to find local a supplier. It's been a big issue. Been cutting by hand with a hack saw as band saw blades were only lasting a short time. Other option was a tile cutter. Thanks again...

@@danwerkman well I know friends in the US get them from Laguna saws but I got mine made from a Uk company think they were called saws Uk Hope that helps cheers Ben

My solution: don't mess with G10. XD I like to stick to natural materials, which are not completely harmless depending on how you work them, but still way easier to handle than G10.
