This is great! I made my first knife a couple months back, and had a couple of issues with heating with the same torch (but I was outside and it was windy) so, definitely glad to see it does in deed work for when I start my next knife in about a month. Cheers!

Wow! This was perfect! I was about to buy a propane torch I didn’t know about map (sp?) gas! I have all the other tools for knife making, only exception being an oven for akneeling.

They make flap disks in 36/40 grit and up. Not sure about harbor freight brand but might check your local airgas or other welding supply.

Probably 35 years ago I made a little Skinner knife with a gut hook out of a saw mill blade similar to what you had, I didn't like the curve that knife blade took on so I thought I'd just give it a little tap with a ball peen hammer. Well the problem is I heated it up to yellow hot and dipped it in ice cold water, you could probably guess what happened to the meta,l it shattered like glass. I learned my lesson, the second blade I didn't nearly heat it as hot. It's a great little skinning knife though.

Es muy bueno tu vídeo como explicas que se puede hacer un cuchillo con herramientas básicas pero estás mal enseñando al usar tu amoladora manual sin la protección hay muchas personas que suben videos enseñando hacer cuchillos con las amoladoras sin protección
