Knight Rider is an American television series, that originally ran from September 26, 1982, to August 8, 1986. The series was broadcast on NBC and stars David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a high-tech modern day knight fighting crime with the help of an advanced, artificially intelligent and nearly indestructible car.
Self-made billionaire Wilton Knight rescues police detective Michael Arthur Long after a near fatal shot to the face, giving him a new identity (via plastic surgery) and a new name: Michael Knight. Wilton selects Michael to be the primary field agent in the pilot program of his Knight Industries-funded public justice organization, the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG).
The other half of this pilot program is the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), a heavily modified Pontiac Trans Am with numerous features including an extremely durable shell and frame, controlled by a computer with artificial intelligence. Michael and KITT are brought in during situations where "direct action might provide the only feasible solution".

I just watched some other non-smash hit intro's from that time.(early eighties) The intro's really show how awesome shows like Knight Rider/The Fall Guy/Airwolf, really are the ones to watch.

Have you 'arc-ed' the picture to fill a 16:9 frame, or stretched it slightly in some parts? Either way, looks pretty damn good. Wouldn't mind seeing how "AIRWOLF" that way. Only drawback is Universal cropped the image compared to the old European DVD transfers. A lot more movement in the camera, with less image to play with.

Plus on Bluray here in Germany some music is replaced and no teaser-trailers. In the last DVD-Box they used some older tapes for the 4th season, bad picture. :( Always there's something missing.

This movie was meant well……...with some good senes (Deavon and Michael meet again,.....), unfortunately a non-good looking red car……..it would have been better if the car was black! but, as i said……….it was meant well :-)
