Facts!, I still remember the 08 film during the Olympics back then. And a few episodes. 08- 09. I was just around 9 years old at the time (it was new stuff to me at the moment, untill transformers came in) I understand now why most mention the Original 80s version was better (since my parents and adults of their age emphasized how the hoffs version was so much better)because it was more of practical effects in use. Still entertaining to watch tho, since the car stole the show most of the time.

Comments on KZbin about the 2008 series are mostly haters but in the real Knight Rider community I'm happy that there are many fans of the old AND new show the show has CGI stunts and transformations but i'd say that's okay because i think CGI is safer than using actual stunts because the actors might hurt themselves or something after all David could have broken his neck or something and it would have saved the old show alot of money and i have a message to all the haters of the 2008 Knight Rider "do you know that it's actually a continuation of the original series and Mike Traceur is Micheal Knight's son and the mustang is the Knight Industries THREE Thousand NOT The Knight industries TWO Thousand?" also Pontiac is outdated as well as the Trans Am and the Mustang is an awesome manly badass car and i like the idea of KI3T being more advanced than KI2T

I love the KR show old and new, but sometimes I think the old series appeared much more magical because we didn't have all the technology that we have today. We have self driving cars and cars that can talk back to us as well take commands.

Prashna Singh Knight Rider 2008 was shit hence why it was cancelled. To much CGI transforming. Turbo Boost didn’t look realistic. They had to actually do all the stunts back in the original. It was a failure even David Hasselhoff knew it was going to be!

Prashna Singh Because it was stupid getting someone else who can’t act to play the lead role, a mustang didn’t suit as KITT especially the transforming. To much CGI not realistic. It’s shit simple as got cancelled after a year. There’s a new one coming out soon with David Hasselhoff with the Pontiac trans am it’ll be high in ratings and won’t fail this time!

Why wouldn't they have picked the Mustang? The original KITT (from the 80s) was an American muscle car, a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. Makes sense since Pontiac didn't have a Trans Am or even the Firebird at all at this time. Although, a Camaro would have made more sense, IMO, since Chevy and Pontiac are both owned by General Motors (GM), and the Camaro and Fire Bird were basically the same, clones of each other.
